I guess everyone know by now that there is a Magnum Cafe in Kuala Lumpur. To be more specific, it is actually located in Mid Valley Megamall. Since they day it open i tried numerous times to go and try out the Magnum Ice Cream that they are selling there but every time i went, it's full with people lining up like a 'snake' from inside Magnum Cafe until outside of the cafe. I gave up waiting that is why it takes me so long before i can write my own review on Magnum Cafe, haha ! Well i still need to line up to get my ice cream even after so long Magnum Cafe has been operating in Mid Valley but at least this time the line is shorter, phew !
The Magnum Cafe is actually a two level cafe which i think not many people know, well i didn't, haha ! The first floor is where the long line up is. Lining up waiting for turn to get my customize Magnum Ice Cream.
Customize Magnum Ice Cream RM9.90
There is two type of coating for the ice cream that you can choose from, Chocolate Brownie or Classic Vanilla.
Then you may add 3 types of topping to it from the many many choices of topping. For me, i choose the Chopped Hazelnut, Culinary Rose Petals and Gold Nuggets.
Mix it together and put in on the ice cream, yay !
Now, lets go up to second floor. At first, i thought of going up to find a place, sit down and enjoy my Magnum Ice Cream, when i was trying to take the stairs up i was stopped by the staff there saying that the second floor is for Magnum Plated Desserts and Hot Food Only. Well, i end up ordering another plate of dessert so that i can sit at the second floor.
Ordering another dessert just to get up to the second floor for a seat sounds like a waste right ? But in this case, it is all worth it !
Magnum Triple Choc Cookie Skillet RM33.00
(Two vanilla Magnum bar covered with cookies, warm freshly baked triple chocolate cookie dough)
It takes them some time to prepare the Magnum Triple Choc Cookie Skillet but waiting in this type of comfortable and nice environment, i have nothing to complain .. haha !
The dessert is .. 1 word ! Perfect .. ! The outer layer is crunchy with thick taste of chocolate and the filling is still hot with melted chocolate. The chocolate is still in liquid form when i cut it open and it is flowing out on to the plate, really yummy ! If i were to give a 10/10 rating for food review, this is one of it !
