Murals : Wall Painting @ Sungai Petani, Kedah

When i say Sungai Petani town is really an awesome place to be in, believe me, it really is .. It is no longer the boring town that most people used to think it is .. well it may not be as grand as the life you find in Kuala Lumpur but its all good thou' .. haha !

I was in Sungai Petani town this morning for the SP Half Marathon 2015 run. After the run as usual, i went looking for food but then i notice this well decorated street in Sungai Petani town with murals all around, which looks kinda awesome, so i walk further to find out more of what these is all about.

Sungai Petani is in the middle of getting ready to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival of year 2015, therefore Sungai Petani town especially is being decorated with some nice lanterns and few wall painting.

This murals is on the wall of a chinese food restaurant.

Behind this restaurant is a small street where all the nice murals can be found.

This little quiet street is actually a street where few hawker stall sells food for some regular-local customer in Sungai Petani in the morning only. The 'Kueh Chap' here is actually very famous .. guess what .. i tried the 'Kueh Chap' here, hahahaha ! Oh, i am not going to review the 'Kueh Chap' here because this post is about the murals, haha ..

The murals here is really nice and some are cute, haha .. These is just some of the wall painting available in Sungai Petani as they are still in the middle of painting it.

Some are in progress and some not even started yet but there is already sketches on the wall. For me, i will definitely come back to visit this place when all the murals are done. Those which is already done, is really nice ! It is worth the time visiting here, you should come and have a look for yourself .. !

Getting There :

If you are locals here, you can refer to the google map as above as it is easier to find parking here, then walk into the street to see the murals. It is actually hard to find this place if you are not locals here because the murals are hidden in a small street, haha ! Look for either TM Point Sungai Petani or Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Khir Johari. Once you find it refer the google map as below.
