Aschaffenburg @ Germany

By : Chha

Aschaffenburg ! Considered as a city, Aschaffenburg does not have much attractions for tourist. It is another city that not many tourist will visit. Information on the internet is really limited and so we went in to visit .. again .. blindly .. haha ! I think that Germany is an awesome place because every city or town that i went to, they have a tourist information center to help visiting tourist. So it makes our visit there in Aschaffenburg easier to manage. We went to the information center to grab a free map and we are on our way to explore Aschaffenburg !!

Aschaffenburg is located in northwest of Bavaria in Germany. The town of Aschaffenburg is not considered part of the district of Aschaffenburg, but is the administrative seat. The city is located at the westernmost border of Lower Franconia and separated from the central and eastern part of the administrative district by the Spessart hills, whereas it opens towards the Rhine-Main plain in the west and north-west. Getting There :

Aschaffenburg can be easily reach by taking train. Buy tickets, get on the train and off you go !

If you talk about Aschaffenburg, people who have been there will surely tell you about this famous castle in Aschaffenburg that you must visit. It is call the Schloss Johannisburg Castle.

Schloss Johannisburg Castle is situated in the center of the Aschaffenburg city, overlooking the river Main which is a beautiful sight with blue sky and green trees all around. The Castle may not be a big place but we make it a point that this is the first place we visit when in Aschaffenburg. It only takes us around half hour to walk and take photos of the castle.

While walking and exploring we came across two different church which we think is nice and looks awesome, haha ! The church here is unique in every way compare to those we seen in Malaysia.

As we continue walking past the Freihof, along the Landingstrasse and left onto Dalbergstrasse we eventually ended up at Stiftplatz square and there we see another beautiful church.

This church is said to be the oldest church in Aschaffenburg.

There is this lovely little park where kids can play and family spending quality time together. Even the park has its own name thou', haha ! Park Schontal they call it (^.^)v of which i have no idea what it means as the description is all written in German ! haha .. well, base on my German Language knowledge, Schon should mean Pretty so .. Park Schon is Pretty Park ? hahaha ! LoL ~

After half day of walking, we finally landed up here, haha ! This is the place where real life begins, shopping !!
