Aboong 아붕 is a franchise originated from Seoul, South Korea. The name 'Aboong' is translated from the Korean language where it is the combination of the word Ice Cream and Bungeoppang. Bungeoppang is a traditional Korean pastry or also known as a Fish Bun. Aboong 아붕 is now finally in Penang and i can tell Penang people are going crazy over it, haha ! Why ? I takes me around 15 minutes of lining up to place my order and another 1 hour 30 minutes to get my order, the place is flooded with people trying to get their hands on this Korean fish bun cakes, bungeoppangs, which is turned into a soft waffle stuffed with yogurt ice cream. The long wait is probably due to Aboong being still new and everyone is trying to grab a taste of it and also it was during peak hour.
Starting operation since 1st July 2016 in Queensbay Mall, Penang. Aboong is serving variety of yogurt ice cream and the fish bun cake.
So how to order your very own Bungeoppang ? Haha .. Line up at the order counter and choose the type of fish bun that you like.

Then choose the type of filling that you want.

Make payment, take you queue number and wait for your food .. haha !
Other than this fish bun ice cream, you can also order yogurt ice cream with different flavor.

Marshmallow dip in hot chocolate + Fish Bun + Yogurt Ice Cream
I like the yogurt ice cream, its texture is smooth and not too sour for me, love it ! But i feel that the yogurt ice cream is not enough, if only i can have more of it being stuffed into the fish bun, that would be great !
The Nutella Chocolate filling that i order does not mix with the yogurt ice cream, there is a partition inside the fish bun that separate the Nutella and Ice Cream. Marshmallow, Nutella and Yogurt Ice Cream taste nice but i am not really a fan of the fish bun, the texture is not that fine, its rough and not even, but it is still ok.
