Arashi Shabu Shabu @ Gurney Plaza, Penang

OMG ! That is the first word that pop up in my mind when i first saw the line of people waiting outside of Arashi Shabu Shabu at Gurney Plaza, Penang, so long and i am already starving at that time but i waited anyway, hahaha ! Waited in line for around 45 minutes just to find a seat.

People now-a-days, people like me, hahaha ! are crazy enough to wait in line for 45 minutes just to eat, haha ! While waiting, i ate some biscuits which is provided by Arashi Shabu Shabu for their awaiting customers, haha .. not bad, at least something to fill up my empty stomach.

I like the environment here. It looks classy and nice but it is a bit warm maybe because of the hot boiling Shabu Shabu, haha ! Once we sat down, we are served with appetizer and is given wet tissue. At first we thought that the appetizer and wet tissue is complementary from Arashi Shabu Shabu but we later realize that it is not, haha .. so if you are not into appetizer then let them know and they will cancel the items from your bill.

The appetizer tasted something like Kimchi, it is made of vegetables, carrot and cucumber. It has some sour taste to it.

The food here is tasty, there are variety of choices to choose from. You can even choose the type of soup that you want to mix with the type of ingredient that you order from the menu. Portion is big and staff are helpful as well .. Other than this, you can also choose the type of sauce that you want to use when having the Shabu Shabu.

Other sauce like Wafu Goma Sauce, Arashi Special Sauce and Hong Kong Sauce are also available. You can also order for additional bowl of rice.
