Ever since my last visit to Window Of The Top at The TOP Komtar Penang, i've been missing the great view of Penang Island from the top ! So i decided that i want to go back there again but this time not to the very top, i stop at level 59 for English Tea at Top View Restaurant and Lounge.
The view up here is a killer, yo ! Getting up here is a little bit tricky, if you have been to Window Of The Top | The Top Komtar, you might head straight to the main entrance of Window Of The Top | The Top Komtar without thinking twice, well, that is what i did, i can't find my way up to Top View Restaurant and Lounge but then realize i am at the wrong entrance. Entrance to Top View Restaurant and Lounge is at Komtar itself. Look for Maybank at Ground Floor and the entrance is right beside Maybank but you can't just walk straight into the elevator. You will need to inform the person-in-charge there at a counter in front of the entrance, not the security guard, but is the staff of Top View Restaurant and Lounge, they will escort you up to level 59 where the restaurant is. Easier said, you need to register yourself at the Hostess Counter at Level 1
The Top View Restaurant and Lounge serve various set meal :
Menu:
- Executive Set Lunch (Mon - Sat, 12.00pm to 2.30pm)
- Sunday Brunch (Sundays only, 11.30am to 3.30pm)
- Asparagus Gourmand Set (Sun - Thu, 6.30pm to 10.00pm)
- Seafood Buffet Dinner (Fri and Sat, 6.30pm to 10.00pm)
- Weekend Sunrise Breakfast (Sat and Sun, 8.00am to 11.00am)
- Refreshments with a view (Daily, 10.00am to 10.00pm)
Pricing:
- Executive Set Lunch: RM48.00 nett per pax
- Sunday Brunch: RM78.00 nett per adult, RM48.00 nett per child
- Asparagus Gourmand Set: RM118.00 nett per set
- Seafood Buffet Dinner: RM98.00 nett per adult, RM68.00 nett per child
- Weekend Sunrise Breakfast: RM48.00 nett per set
- Refreshments with a view: RM29.90 per pax
but the one i took is their English Tea Set which cost RM 38.00 per person
The English Tea served here is a 3-tier English Tea Set where i can select the tea that i like from their menu.
The one i order is the Green Tea With Natural Jasmine which is also the one the waiter there recommended me to try, i think that the tea does not have a strong taste to me, it makes me feels like as if i am drinking plain water, probably you can try other tea from the menu, heard that the Earl Grey is nice .. I like the food here, but not really a fan of the popcorn that they put in the set for English Tea, the popcorn is soft. Other than that, it is all good .. I enjoyed myself there, with good food and breath taking view .. !
