By : Chha

There are a few island around Penang Island which probably not many people know about. There are the two main and more widely known island namely Pulau Aman and Pulau Jerejak. Other than that, there are also other smaller island of which Lexis Suites Penang are giving the opportunity for everyone to visit by joining their Island Hopping Boat Ride.

This Island Hopping Boat Trip by Lexis Suites Penang will give you an experience of adventure taking a boat out to the sea visiting some of the island nearby Penang Island and to view Penang from a different angle from the sea of which not many people have the opportunity to do so, with Lexis Suites Penang, you can !

This awesome two hours trip start off at Lexis Suites Rendezvous at the Hotel Beachfront. The boat which is fully reserve for Lexis Suites Penang will only take customers that are registered with Lexis Suites for the Island Hopping Boat Ride making this an exclusive trip.

During this trip some light snacks and a bottle of drinking water will be provided. You will get the opportunity to visit places like Pulau Rimau which is known for its 17 meters tall iron light house.

There is also Pulau Kendi which is near to Penang Island where you can visit during this Boat Ride, it is known for its natural rock formation and it is on the southwestern tip of Penang island farthest away compare to the other Island around Penang, then there is the Pulau Gedung which is located just next to the well known Pulau Aman off the coast of Bukit Tambun, Seberang Perai. This small island is thick with jungle and is said to have been a pirate’s domain long time ago.

The main stop for the Island Hopping Boat Trip, i would say is at the Pulau Aman. This island is more happening compare to the other few, here you may try out their famous Mee Udang and also some other seafood but subject to availability and the food is not included in this Island Hopping package.

If any of you have never seen a Breadfruit or locally known as Buah Sukun before, then you will find it here at Pulau Aman, you may see it straight off from the tree itself.

The route for this Island Hopping Boat Trip is not fix and Lexis Suites give their customer the flexibility to customize the route that they desire, therefore, you may choose to hop on over to the Batu Maung beaches or Pulau Jerejak if you wish.

It is not everyday that we get the opportunity to go under the Penang Bridge, also not many people actually do that before. With this opportunity given by Lexis Suites Penang, their customers not only have the opportunity to view the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'Adzam Shah bridge or commonly known as the Penang Second Bridge from sea but you may also cross it from underneath and have the awesome view below the bridge. How cool is that ?!

It comes to me as a surprise when i was told that there is a Sunken Ship somewhere off along the coastline of Permatang Damar Laut, south of Penang island. This is the Xin Yi Yi ship a large Chinese commercial fishing vessel ship which believe to have run into the remains of a shipwreck nicknamed 'Kapal Simen'. This partly visible ship still lies on the shallow water off Penang Island. Dolphin sighting is also possible from this Boat Trip if you are lucky on that day.

This Island Hopping Boat Ride package is available for everyone to enjoy the beauty of these island and some hidden sight of Penang.
