Nana’s Green Tea @ The Gardens, Mid Valley

By : Chha

'Ooh, na-na, look what you just started, Ooh, na-na, i'm about to spend all this cash, Ooh, na-na !!' haha, the song by Trey Songz is the first thing that come to our mind when we first see Nana's Green Tea. Nana's Green Tea first started off in Japan as a Japanese version of Starbucks in Jiyugaoka. Nana's Green Tea later then expanded its business to China, Hong Kong, Singapore and now landed in Kuala Lumpur. Nana's Green Tea name says it all, they are serving a lot of drinks and dessert made by using Japanese Green Tea.

Matcha Shiratama Float (Cold) RM17.30
(Matcha latte topped with Matcha Ice Cream And Mochi)

The Matcha Shiratama Float taste good and the strong taste of green tea in cold ice makes it even more yummy. There is nothing inside the Mochi but it taste nice when eat together with the Match Ice Cream.

Matcha Shiratama Parfait RM21.90
(An artisan dessert starting with a layer of Kanten jelly and Matcha Syrup then topped with soft serve vanilla ice cream, generous layer of corn flakes and garnished with a Match ice cream, red bean paste, Mochi, whipped cream and a drizzle of Match syrup)

Matcha Shiratama Parfait is the signature dessert at Nana's Green Tea. Almost every table there order this, so we decided to give it a try. We like the red bean paste and the ice cream. The mixture of corn flakes and ice cream is yummy. There is this thing, we think it is call the Kanten jelly, we like it, haha ! it taste good ..

But we need to dig our spoon down till the bottom of the glass to get it, haha !

Black Sesame Latte With Shiratama (Hot) RM 16.10
(A thick, rich latte of Black Sesame accented with soft, springy Shiratama)

We don't know what is the different between a Shiratama and a Mochi they both looks the same, hmm ..

The Black Sesame Latte is not too sweet, the taste is just right for a black sesame drink. Thumbs up for this ..

Other than dessert and drinks, Nana's Green Tea also serve other dish like udon or salmon sashimi and few others. The place is small and can get packed during peak hours.

  3. Wow, it is just great to get the reviews about green tea at The Gardens, Mid Valley. Well dear I don’t drink tea. I know how healthy a green tea is but I always opt out for alternate products to stay in shape and healthy as well. I really found Green drink very much beneficial for this purpose and suggest others too to try it!
