[7D6N] Day 7 - Kuta @ Lombok, Indonesia

By : Chha

It has been a challenging and really exhausted 4 days of hiking Mount Rinjani, thought the hike is really tough but the amazing view at the Peak of Mount Rinjani is worth all the hard work. Since today is the last day of my trip here in Lombok we did not plan a lot of activity to do. Just thought of taking it free and easy visit around Kuta Village in Lombok. Kuta is a village on the island of Lombok in the Indonesian province West Nusa Tenggara. Kuta is known for its beautiful beaches and is therefore one of the tourist attractions of Lombok. (Source)

We book cars with driver to drive us around Kuta for one day. Since Kuta is famous for its beach, we decided to have a visit to Pantai Tanjung Aan for its white sandy beach with turquoise sea, haha ! Arriving at Pantai Tanjung Aan we were approached by few boat owner asking if we are interested to visit some of the smaller island off Kuta Sea. So we did .. !

The boat trip cost IDR 50,000 / person

Payment are needed for cars to enter the parking area of Pantai Tanjung Aan but since we took package from the driver, the parking fee is included.

Bukit Merese

The first stop for our boat trip today is at Bukit Merese. Remember to wear short pants and a slipper if you are taking the boat trip as you might need to walk down from the boat into the sea by the beach as there are no proper pier for landing the boat.

At Bukit Merese you might need to walk a little bit up hill if you want to see the scenery around Bukit Merese. Up on Bukit Merese the view is simply amazing, you can see other island from here and also the view of the sea with strong wind blowing. During my visit, there is no other people here at Bukit Merese. It is so peaceful and comfortable up here, the only bad thing is the hot burning sun, haha !

Batu Payung

Batu Payung Beach is located adjacent with Tanjung Aan Beach. We took the same boat trip to reach here. Batu Payung Beach is only a stretch of small beach surround by cliffs featuring a massive and uniquely shaped rocks. The most famous rock here is the Batu Payung itself, that is how this beach get its name from. The rock looks like a giant umbrella standing up majestically at the beach. The main, reason why we are here, is to see this Batu Payung. The view from here is also amazing.

Pink Beach

Actually we were promised by the boat owner that they will bring us to the Pink Beach but did not make it in the end. We question them, why ? The reason they gave us 'not enough time', it was only around 12 to 1 pm at that time, how can we not have enough time ? I look at google map, the Pink Beach is just nearby .. ! I was so pissed off at that time. If you have the chance to go over, do let me know how it is .. share your experience with me (^.^)v, from photo that i google .. this is how the Pink Beach looks like.

After the boat trip we still have around half day time to burn before we go to airport and head back home. So we requested our driver to drive us around town looking for food and some souvenir shop for some souvenir shopping, haha !
