We probably heard of many bakery cafe opened here in Penang but this is actually my first time knowing that there is a cafe in Penang that actually specialize in Sourdough.
A Sourdough bread is made by the fermentation of dough using naturally occurring lactobacilli and yeast. Sourdough bread has a mildly sour taste not present in most breads made with baker's yeast and better inherent keeping qualities than other breads due to the lactic acid produced by the lactobacilli (Source). Joies Cafe and Sourdough which is located along Moulmein Road in Pulau Tikus, Penang is serving variety of Sourdough bread. Though Sourdough itself may not be something interesting to try on but Joies Cafe mix thing up a little and make eating Sourdough bread interesting.

Joies house signature is designated for the adventurous who wants to enjoy the variety of Joies sourdough toast. Serving with their top quadra picks, Sauteed Mushroom, Onion Jam, Egg Mayo and Hummus would leave anyone who have tried it awestruck !

Broccoli is well known for its great source of vitamins and calcium. This soup is definitely a hearty meal for anyone who is a vegetables fan !

A cross between an orange and a pomelo that is low in calories but contain high level of vitamin C and good source of vitamin A. The pectin found in grapefruit helps with speed weight loss. Grapefruit has also shown the ability to reduce insulin levels and prevent people from gaining weight.
If you want to buy the entire Loaf of Sourdough home and make your own breakfast with your own ingredient and topping, you can get the entire Loaf of Sourdough at Joies Cafe too. With different flavor at reasonable price. Joies Cafe and Sourdough is a wonderful place to dine in, the place is comfortable and spacious. The service is good, food is tasty and the people working here is very friendly. The waiter, waitress and even the casher are constantly smiling to every customer that is in the cafe, I would give four thumbs up to them but I only got two thumb, haha ! The staff here is constantly checking on their customer to make sure that everything is fine and to attend to their need if any arises ..
