When i first heard the name of the buffet theme, the legendary P.Ramlee's name come straight to my head, haha ! Well, in fact it is, Vouk Hotel Suites is using the name of the very famous P.Ramlee's movie as their theme this time around for their Buffet Dinner, even the live band there is playing songs from P.Ramlee. I find this really awesome because i am a huge fans of P.Ramlee.
To usher this auspicious month with Vouk Hotel Suites '3 Abdul' Buffet Dinner. The chefs of Vouk Hotel Suites, has skillfully put together a sumptuous buffet spread boasting a lot of authentic local cuisines, promising an exceptional dining experience for all.
Not only that, Vouk Hotel Suites is rotating their buffet's menu regularly so that your every visit offers something different for both adults and children.
Vouk Hotel Suites is bringing back everyone's, the Soup Gear Box accompanied with spring onions and fried shallots. Other delectable front runners include the Yong Tau Foo from the live action stalls. The stalls are always my favorite because they serve my favorite waffle, it is crunchy from the outside and not too thick, plus, there are a few topping available there to put on the waffle, like peanut butter, butter, honey and few more. This waffle with Condiments will surely be a win with children.
I am always interested to see what new dish Vouk Hotel Suites are able to bring to their Buffet Dinner main dish and so far, they have never disappoint me, haha ! This round, they are boasting eleven chafing dishes representing local favourites such as Sotong Masak Berempah, Ayam Masak Hitam, Whole Fish Panggang Portugis Style, Udang Goreng Tahi Minyak, Beef Rendang Mamak and many more that would definitely leave you coming back for more.
Other than these, you also have the option to customize your dish according to your taste taste buds. Find favorites such as the Craving Station offering lamb and beef with 4 types of sauces to pick from and a must try grilled station offering Sambal 7 Keturunan Ikan Bakar, Prawns and Sotong.
Some of Vouk Hotel Suites signature stalls include Gulai Kawah Daging Rebung and hawker stall featuring their Chef's locally acclaimed Char Koay Teow. Bringing back simpler time, with their Bubur Corner featuring Porridge Lambuk or famously known as 'Bubur Lambuk' and a wide variety of condiments ranging from Roti Stall serving up Chicken or Lamb Murtabak with Chicken or Dhal Curry to those hankering for something local, Penang's famous Mee Rebus is a must have.
To make it even more interesting, there are some random food that will pop-up here and there in between those main dish, like Rojak, Ketupat, Pau and many more.
In my opinion, a Buffet Dinner would not be complete without the sugary delights to end the Buffet Session with a sweet note so to top off the delectable dining experience, sugary delights awaits to satisfy any sweet tooth such as a Chocolate Fountain with Marshmallows, Assorted Ice Cream with Toppings.
Be spoiled for choice with an assortment of local Malay desserts boasting more 10 varieties. Among which are Bubur Pulut Hitam, Bubur Serawa Durian, Buah Kurma, Dodol, Kuih Lopis, that will surely evoke the memories of one's childhood. The Award Winning Kuih Lopis at C'est Si Bon is also one of the must kuih here while the Bubur Serawa Durian taste special, the smell and the taste of the Durian is so strong but the texture of the Bubur is not too thick, this is something for Durian lover.
