Fei Brew Cafe @ Bayan Point, Bayan Lepas, Penang

Eating healthy is now everyone's main focus and with that main focus in mind, this newly open Fei Brew Cafe which is located in Bayan Point, Bayan Lepas, Penang is focusing on serving a meat free dish to every one of their patron. Though you can say that Fei Brew Cafe is a vegetarian cafe but if you are a clean vegetarian then this cafe may not be suitable for you as they also serve eggs in their food, but if you are less concern about the eggs in their dish then, you have no reason not to come to Fei Brew Cafe to try out their food.

Fei Brew operate more like a Cafe, a place where you can sit down with family or friends over a cup of coffee to enjoy the good time spend together. At Fei Brew Cafe, they serve variety of Beverages ranging from coffee to tea, smoothies and fruit juice. There are also dessert, starters and some main dish.

Authentic Peranakan Ulam Rice RM 14.00

My personal favorite here is Fei Brew Cafe Authentic Peranakan Ulam Rice which is made from Steamed basmati rice mixed with shredded herbs of wild betal leaf, basil leaf, torch ginger flower, kaffir lime leaf, mint leaf. The Ulam Rice is also served with hard boiled egg, Acar and vegetarian anchovies. The anchovies is really crispy and not too salty and it goes really well with the Acar which is not too spicy and the flavorful-rich-with-herbs rice.

Big Breakfast RM 14.00

If you prefer something light, may it for your brunch, lunch or dinner, the Big Breakfast is always available from Fei Brew Cafe Menu, made from Scramble egg, baked tomato, baked beans, refreshing salads and whole meal bread with butter.

Baked Mac and Cheese RM 14.00

The Baked Mac and Cheese is a Classic baked macaroni with cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese. The one thing i like about this Baked Mac and Cheese is that the mixture of the two different cheese is done well, it is not too thick and it taste smooth making it a perfect mix with the macaroni.

Sambal Petai Mini Burgers RM 14.00

Talking about something special, this 3 little mini burgers is unique. A set of 3 mini burgers, stuffed with freshly stir-fried aromatic sambal petai, sliced hard boiled egg and green leaf lettuce. I can say that this is the first time i actually see a mini burger with sambal petai in it.

Neopolitan Puff Pizza RM 15.00

Not your ordinary type of pizza, the Neopolitan Puff Pizza is made from red sauce puff pastry based pizza topped with cherry tomato, pineapple, green bell pepper, oyster mushroom and sweet basil leaf.

Salad With Roasted Sesame Sauce RM 10.00

If you are one a diet and want something simple to fill the tummy, the Salad With Roasted Sesame Sauce is available from the Fei Brew Cafe menu in the starters section. Made from red leaf lettuce, green leaf lettuce, romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, mango, walnut, olive and hard boiled egg.

Other than the Salad With Roasted Sesame Sauce, there are also the Soup With Puff Pastry and Tortilla Chips with Cheesy Dipping Sauce. Soup With Puff Pastry is also one of my favorite dish here at Fei Brew Cafe, the soup is tasty and not too dilute while the Puff Pastry on top of it is not too thick making it nice to chew on while having a sip of the soup.

Waffle Wonderland RM 14.00

There are several types of dessert to choose from the menu, some are like the Muffin Island, Fruity Oats, Affogato and more. The one that i manage to try is their Waffle Wonderland, a crispy butter waffle served with Nutella, ice cream and topped with kiwi, banana, strawberry, mango and garnished with icing sugar and almond flakes.

Mango Grapefruit Sago RM 10.00

There is also Mango Grapfruit Sago, a smooth mango pure flavoured with yoghurt, garnished with grapefruit accompanied by soft tapioca pearls and it is served in a small cute cup. I also tried their Banana Split Sundae, which is made out of three scoops of different flavoured ice cream served with banana, garnished with chocolate sauce, almond flakes and chocolate flavoured love letter.

For me, i personally feel that, a nice cup of coffee goes really well with a nice piece of cake and at Fei Brew Cafe, they have both cake and coffee to satisfy your craving. There are a few types of cakes that you can choose from their counter and plenty different types of coffee to choose from their menu where you can either have it hot or cold.

At Fei Brew Cafe, they do serve Hazelnut Latte (Hot : RM 12.00, Cold : RM 13.00), Salted Caramel Latte (Hot : RM 13.00, Cold : 14.00), Mint Mocha, Cappuccino and more. Their coffee here are really well presented, especially those served hot.

At Fei Brew Cafe, they gets creative with their Fruit Juice by mixing a few different fruits to create new taste signature to Fei Brew Cafe. There are Pink Perfection (RM 12.00) a mixture of Watermelon, Orange, Strawberry and Blueberry, Go Green (RM 10.00) a mixture of Apple, Celery and Cucumber. There is also Orange Paradise (RM 10.00) a mixture of Mango, Carrot and Orange.

You can also choose to either have their coffee hand drip or by using the syphon method. These two unique way of preparing coffee is capable of bringing out the good taste and aroma of the coffee. You may choose to either have the Brazil Yellow Bourbon, Ethiopia Washed Yirgacheffe, Costa Rice Washed, New Wave Blend, Sumatra Gayo Full Natural or Jamaica Blue Mountain Filtered Coffee.

Environment here is comfortable and nice, though it is not a very big place but it has enough seating place for dine in. Service is good and food serving is fast too. Up to date, i have been here three times and i can see myself going back here for more, may it be for their food or just to chill and relax in this nice comfortable environment having sip of coffee while enjoying their cake.
