The once Opening Soon Kakiyuki along Macalister Road is now finally open for everyone ! It is really awesome to have Kakiyuki opening their doors to all Penangites especially in this hot weather in Malaysia. Having Kakiyuki here in Macalister Road gives Penangites an option more for place to sit down, chill and relax while enjoying some cool nice shaved ice and dessert.
Located along Macalister Road which is just nearby the formally known UMNO Bulding, Kakiyuki is somehow hidden among the many shop lots in that area by the road side. Facing the main Macalister Road, Kakiyuki is not hard to find.
The clean, bright and classy look of the interior design of Kakiyuki is a nice place to hang out and a comfortable place to relax after a hot day out. Adopting the Japanese culture, Kakiyuki encourage everyone there to serve their own dessert by collecting them at the counter after making order and to return back the cutlery after use.
Kakiyuki is known for using all natural ingredients with no artificial flavoring in making their Kakigori which is also known as the Japanese styled Shaved Ice. Their menu here is really creative, i like how they invent some really cool flavors and combination of taste that mix really well with each other to their Kakigori and some other dessert serve here at Kakiyuki.
Matcha Brulee RM 19.00
If you are a fan of Matcha then this Matcha Brulee is suitable for you. It is overload with Matcha Milk, Custard and Red Bean. The Brulee on top is tasty. The entire bowl of this Kakigori is full with Matcha, every scoop is filled with Matcha, from the outer layer to the inner part of the shaved ice. It goes really well with the Red Bean. The Red Bean is not too sweet and it is tasty.
Pink Mont Blanc RM 24.00
My personal favorite is this Pink Mont Blanc which is made from Strawberry, Yogurt a lot of small tiny piece of Blondie inside it. This bowl of Kakigori is very appetizing and refreshing, probably due to the Yogurt taste which is sweet and a bit sour. It really help to open up my appetite to eat more here at Kakiyuki. Every layer of the Shaved Ice give different taste which makes this entire bowl of Kakigori special. The tiny pieces of Blondie taste good and it is not soft even though it is dipped inside the Shaved Ice.
Goma Nama Daifuku RM 7.00
Hojicha Roll Cake RM 10.00
At Kakiyuki, not only their Kakigori are must try items but other dessert from their menu is good too. You can also find items like their Roll Cake with two different flavor, the Hojicha and Matcha. There are also Nama Daifuku with flavors like Matcha Strawberry, Goma, Chocolate and more. So why not make a pit stop at Kakiyuki to try out all their Kakigori, dessert and cake.
