Bed & Breakfast Piccolo Bed @ Procida Island, Italy

Procida is a small island off the coast of Naples in southern Italy. The island is between Cape Miseno and the island of Ischia. With Procida Island being a small island, it is not a very popular tourist spot compare to the other bigger island nearby. This make finding a suitable accommodation during my travel here a bit challenging. It takes me some time to search and finally found this beautiful place. I am not sure about other accommodation here in Procida Island but the Bed and Breakfast Piccolo Bed home stay is highly recommended by me !

Getting There :

Getting to Bed and Breakfast Piccolo Bed means you first have to take a boat all the way to Procida Island first. If you take the passenger boat to Procida, once you reach the boat terminal on Procida Island walk straight across the road and into Via Liberta street. You will need to walk all the way uphill for around 5 minutes until you see Re Ferdinando Restaurant on your right. Right after Re Ferdinando restaurant there is a road on your left, beside that road there is a small stairs going up. Be really careful to look out for the small stairs as i miss it many times when searching for it. Walk up this stairs and follow the path until you come to a junction. Bed and Breakfast Piccolo Bed is just on your right at that junction.

Bed and Breakfast Piccolo Bed is actually a house own by an old couple and they use two of their bedroom as a home stay for guest. If you want to look for a place that give you the sense of home and to experience staying in Procida Island like a local, then Bed and Breakfast Piccolo Bed is the place to be. Walking into Bed and Breakfast Piccolo Bed makes me feels like as if i am walking into the house of a local here in Procida Island. The owner is very friendly and he makes me feels like as if i am walking into my own home. The wife of the owner is the one who help to do the house keeping and i must say, she did an excellent job. While the owner himself take charge on the management side of this place. The owner does speak some simple English and he is very kind and patience in explaining to me where is the must go place in Procida Island, the best food to eat and how to get there. Bed and Breakfast Piccolo Bed has a small garden with beautiful flowers and a lemon tree of which lemon is very famous in Procida Island.

Bed and Breakfast Piccolo Bed is a complete house with a private-common area just beside the garden for me to chill and relax while enjoying looking at the flowers over a cup of tea or coffee during tea break. The room is spacious, clean and well maintain making it looks brand new. There is a clean private toilet inside each room with hot shower.

Breakfast is included here. All the food here is being prepared by the owner's wife and what is even more awesome, all the pastries here are hand made by the owner's wife. The breakfast here is the best i have throughout my entire Italy trip. The pastries is tasty and i was told by the owner that these are the famous pastries commonly eaten by the locals here in Procida Island.
