There is a new place in town for you food lover out there, looking for some food to eat while you are at Butterworth, Penang area ? Then you may try head on over to Tai Ka Huat Food Court 大家发饮食中心 which is located at Kawasan Perniagaan Teras Jaya. Tai Ka Huat Food Court serve variety of hawker food.
This big newly open place have many different stalls inside serving many different types of food. There are economy rice where they have a lot of different dishes to choose from, there is also Char Koey Teow, Bread Toast, Drinks and more. A very typical Food Court that you can find else where in Penang but having Tai Ka Huat Food Court being open at Butterworth this add another options into my list of place to eat in Penang.
Sangkaya Toast RM 2.70
If you are a early morning type of person and wanted to start your day with light breakfast, then the Ding Ding Roti stall at Tai Ka Huat Food Court should do the trick for you. They serve sandwich, toast, eggs and some small bite food. I tried their Sangkaya Toast, in my opinion their Kaya taste is not strong enough but the toast is will done, not too burned. The Pork Rice here is also something that you may try. The pork meat is soft and serve with some side dish like egg and some vegetables.

Hor Ka Sai RM 4.00
I like their Hor Ka Sai here, the texture is really thick and satisfying. Other than Hor Ka Sai they also have Thai Milk Tea and Thai Green Milk Tea as their main attraction in terms of drinks. They do serve other common drinks too, those that you may find in any other normal Food Court.
I am definitely adding Tai Ka Huat Food Court to my list of place to eat and will come back to try out food from other stalls.
