Here is another Vegetarian Shop for everyone to add to their list of Vegetarian food to eat. Mama Vege started off their first restaurant in Bukit Mertajam many years ago and now has few different outlet around Penang and now has landed in Sungai Petani, Kedah.
Being located at Riverfront Sungai Petani, Mama Vege is the only vegetarian Restaurant here in Riverfront, so if you are a vegetarian or a vegetarian lover, then a day chill out at Riverfront will be more convenient for you as Mama Vege is here ready to serve vegetarian food to you.
Mama Vege serve huge variety of vegetarian food, there are a lot of items to choose from their menu. You can find ingredients for steamboat, ala cart or even dishes for family to have it with rice.
I tried their steamboat here. Their soup base is good but the ingredient for the steamboat is kinda average. I can say that this is the first vegetarian steamboat i had and i am not sure where else to find vegetarian steamboat, if you know, maybe you can introduce it to me. I personally prefer their ala cart dish and to have it with rice.
There are many ala cart dish to choose from which range from Taoufu, Vegetarian Fish, Vegetables, mushroom and more. Their ala cart dish is delicious, though the serving size is not big but it is enough for me. All these dish goes really well wish some rice.
If you are not sure what to order during your dine in at Mama Vege Restaurant, you may order set dish from their menu, where the set is serve with rice or noodles with some vegetables at the side. Ordering the set is much easier for those who went dine in alone, for people like me.
