When visiting Italy, how many of you actually put Florence as a place that you want to visit ? Well, i did .. ! For none good or weird reason, i make it a point that i must visit Florence, just probably because i know Florence, haha ! But i like it here in Florence, there are things to see, food to eat and it is also about an hour train ride away from Pisa, where the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa is. So i put up few nights here and stayed at WoW Florence Hostel.
Looking for WoW Florence Hostel is easy if you know the way, i basically walk and drag my luggage all the way from the Train Station to WoW Florence Hostel, which is not really a good choice as the walkway of most street in Florence are not perfectly even, due to the materials they use to make the walkway. I am not saying that the walkway is bad, it is good, but it is just not suitable for pulling luggage with wheels around, try use a backpack instead.
WoW Florence Hostel is a huge place, it is like they have the entire building for themselves, there are a lot of different types of rooms, there is common place, bars, balcony, cafe, laundry place, pantry, locker area and even an open space common area.
The theme here at WoW Florence Hostel is Super Hero. You can see a lot of super hero posters on the wall, stickers of Batman, Superman, Spiderman and more. This entire place is brightly decorated where it is colorful in ever corner of the place.
During my visit to Florence Italy, i booked for a dorm room in WoW Florence Hostel, a dorm room of 6 people per room. For my booking, it does not include breakfast but i do notice that there is a cafeteria in WoW Florence Hostel, probably you may make arrangement with WoW Florence Hostel for a simple breakfast there. In terms of environment this place is nice, all the things here are well maintained but the place look kinda messy with chairs not organize properly, some lockers are not properly shut but it is still a clean and comfortable place to stay. One more thing, the dorm room is not sound proof and WoW Florence Hostel may get really noisy at night with people talking very loudly outside the room that i sleep in, so it kinda distract me the entire night making me unable to sleep. The bad thing is the room mate who is sharing the room together with me is talking very loudly too making me have a sleepless night.
The locker inside the room is big enough to fit an entire luggage into it. There is enough locker for everyone but it is first come first serve basis and you will need to bring your own padlock as it is not provided. The locker i took is actually faulty and i am not able to put my padlock into it. That is actually the last locker available when i arrive, so that is the only locker i can use.
Overall, WoW Florence Hostel is a nice place to stay minus the inconsiderate people who make noise late at night, i would recommend WoW Florence Hostel as a budget friendly hostel to stay during your backpacking trip to Florence Italy.
