Turning a corner of a parking space into a small 'mamak' type stall that serve Thai Food, this is what Parkin' Chill which is located along Anson Road in Georgetown, Penang is.
Serving some authentic yet special Thai Food, Parkin' Chill has only a small size menu focusing on ther best made dish. You won't get those typical Thai Food like tomyam soup etc here but what you get here at Parkin' Chill is something out of the ordinary. Honestly, looking at the menu, it got me all confuse. First the writing on the menu. Secondly i don't understand what it means, haha ! But luckily their staff there is very friendly, she took some time to explain to me what it means, how the food is being made, what taste to expect and what is recommended. Very good and friendly service.
Steamed Egg Mud Crab with Fresh Milk RM 30.00 / crab
So here is what i tried, Steamed Egg Mud Crab with Fresh Milk. The size of the Mud Crab is big enough for one person. There are not much meat in it but it has a lot of egg, the egg is so much that it is so satisfying to eat it and it is tasty too.
Exshrimp Blanket Fried Rice RM 24.90
I love their Exshrimp Blanket Fried Rice. This bowl of Fried Rice is over load with a lot of Shrimp, the size of the Shrimp is average, not too small and is juicy. The rice is fried with Eggs and served while the egg is still wet making the stick together with the rice and shrimp. If you don't mind the wet watery egg, then this is a good tasty bowl of Exshrimp Blanket Fried Rice.
Cha Yen RM 6.90
Here at Parkin' Chill, they only serve 3 types of drinks and one of it is my favorite Cha Yen. The drinks is not too sweet and not too much of milk. The taste of the Cha Yen is bold and does not being overpower by the milk, making it nice to drink.
