Lets hop into the new Rabbit year with awesome Chinese New Year Buffet and Set Menu from Ascott Gurney Penang. As we welcome and renew our Lunar Calendar for another year with style, Ascott Gurney Penang is gearing up to serve everyone with they specially created menu so that everyone who are dining in Ascott Gurney Penang will have a memorable time spend with family and friends.

Prosperity Salmon Yee Sang

It is always nice to start off a Chinese New Year Dinner with the tossing of Yee Sang to symbolize good fortune. Toss as high as you can to bring more good fortune, good luck, good health and a very good Rabbit year ahead. There are a lot of Salmon in this plate of Yee Sang.

Fortune Hot and Cold Combination

There are two different set of Chinese New Year Prosperity Menu. One is the Prosperity Set Menu which is priced at RM 1688.00 and the other one is Fortune Lucky Set Menu which is priced at RM 2088.00. These two set of menu is available from 5 January until 5 February 2023, a whole full month of celebration for anyone who would like to have reunion with family and friends.

Traditional Baked Chicken with Mushrooms, Chinese Dates and Vegetables

To name a few dish, there are Steamed Garoupa with Nyonya Style, Four Happiness Hot and Cold Salad Prawns Combinations, Braised Broccoli, Seasonal Vegetables with Black Mushroom and Scallop, Braised Assorted Seafood Soup, Gemini Fried Rice with Shrimps, Roasted Duck Served with Braised Abalone and many more from the Prosperity Menu. While for the Fortune Lucky Menu there are Chef's Special Pan Fried Prawns, Traditional Baked Chicken with Mushroom, Chienese Dates and Vegetables, Swwtened Ginger Soup with PEach Gum and Gingko, Steamed Pomfret with Supreme Soya Sauce Style and more. Both Set Menu will definitely have The Prosperity Salmon Yee Sang.

Priced at RM 588.00 the Prosperity Salmon Yee Sang also comes with Abalone Grandeur Treasure Pot but if you wish to have a Fortune Lotus Leaf Rice to go with the set you can add on RM 38.00+ to have it and these set can serve up to 5 person.

It is also the first time for me to enter Ascott Gurney Penang ballroom for a Chinese New Year event ever since its opening. The ball room is really nice and specious. It is able to fit many round table which is ideal for a Chinese New Year reunion dinner.
