Is this a lantern? It is and this lantern is actually a box of mooncake from The Prestige Hotel Penang. For this year Mid Autumn Festival celebration, The Prestige Hotel Penang comes up with a really creative idea where their Mooncake Gift Set can actually be converted into a Lantern.

This little lantern is made from wood and it can fit maximum up to 4 pieces of mooncake with different flavours. Inside the wooden lantern box there are also 2 sachets of Premium TWG tea bag to go with the mooncake. What a perfect match and perfect way to enjoy mooncake with a cup of tea.

There are 4 different flavour of mooncake inside the wooden lantern box which is Green Tea and Mochi, Pineapple and Mango, Sweet and Salted White Lotus with Yolk and Red Bean with Yolk. These are really unique combination of flavours for a mooncake. A traditional mooncake with a modern twist in it.

The mooncakes are made fresh per order and is best to consume it within 7 days. Any fresher you will have to make the mooncake yourself. Inside the wooden lantern box comes with a little candle so that you can light it up throughout the entire Mid Autumn Festival.
