I think, I can say that the Louvre Museum is one of those many famous museum in the world. Maybe you don't realize it because the name Louvre Museum might sound unfamiliar. How about the famous Mona Lisa painting ? haha ! The Louvre Museum is where the Mona Lisa painting is kept. So if you would like to visit the Mona Lisa painting you will need to go to the Louvre Museum.

Getting There :

Easy ! Get on a Paris Metro and stop at Palais-Royal–Musée du Louvre station on line 1.

Operating Hour :

Monday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday: 9 am to 6 pm
Wednesday, Friday: 9 am to 9.45 pm
Closed on Tuesdays
Rooms begin closing 30 minutes before museum closing time.

Admission Fee :

Adult: €15

The Louvre Museum is a huge place, it is recommended that you spend a day in Louvre Museum if you really want to visit the entire museum, if not, then you can choose what you would like to see and ignore the rest. For me, i only know about the Mona Lisa painting so i set my priority to see the Mona Lisa painting first. I arrive at Louvre Museum 2 hours early before the operating hour and to my surprise there is already a long line at the gate waiting. So, i stand in line and waited for two hours just to enter the museum. At the entrance everyone will have to clear security then only to the tickets counter to buy tickets.

The Louvre Museum is divided into three section Richelieu, Sully and Denon. Every section is divided into different floors and many rooms. My advice is, once you enter the museum at the information counter near the tickets counter, get a map ! So that you don't get lost, haha !

Mona Lisa painting is somewhere hidden in the huge museum, so you definitely will need a map to find it, haha ! I have no problem finding the painting but it takes some time to walk from the entrance to the painting because the museum is really huge ! Mona Lisa painting location is at : 1st Floor, Section Denon and Room 6

Other than the Mona Lisa painting, there are still a lot of interesting painting, sculpture and statue to see.

The design of the Louvre Museum is really awesome and unique for both inside and outside of the museum.

If you love art and some history then Louvre Museum is definitely a place worth visiting, well at least i made it a must visit place for me, haha !
