Foong Wei Heong | 风味小食馆 which is located off the busy street at Jalan Sri Bahari is a Chinese Cuisine Restaurant serving reasonable priced dish and big serving portion.
Foong Wei Heong | 风味小食馆 is a family style Chinese Restaurant that allows you to sit in a group of 10 people at a round table, which is a very typical Chinese dinning setting.
In terms of environment, it is comfortable inside with plenty of seating place. Thought the restaurant is not big and with somehow crowded spacing between tables, Foong Wei Heong | 风味小食馆 is still a nice place for dinner with friends or family. The moment after you choose your favorite seating place and sit down, you will be serve with some nuts and a choice of either Chinese Tea or Drinking Water.
What i tried here are some mixture of vegetables and meat. The first dish here is the Peking Duck where you can wrap it up with a thin layer of something like pancake and put some vegetables and sauce into it.
There are also some other dish like the Steam Chicken, Mushrooms, Tofu and Prawn. Personally the Prawn is my favorite, it is a bit spicy due to the green chili, it is also a little sweet and sour which taste a bit like Laksa due to the torch ginger bud and onion. This plate of Prawn is tasty.
Food here is good and the serving portion is big, what most important is the price which is reasonable given that this is a restaurant plus the size of the dish. With a total of all these dish which is enough for 10 people, it only cost slightly more than RM 400.00 plus.
Here they also serve some dessert like this hot bowl of Soya Bean and some other dessert. The choice of dessert here is not much but it is good enough to end the meal on a sweet note.
