It was a night where the G Hotel family travelled around the world without leaving Penang. G Hotel celebrated its annual Staff Party 2026 on 22 September 2026 at the Grand Ballroom of G Hotel Gurney with the theme “Travel Around the World in One Night!”. The celebration brought together associates from both G Hotel Gurney and G Hotel Kelawai for an evening filled with colourful costumes, performances, food, games, lucky draws and recognition for the people who have contributed to the hotels throughout the years.
Travel Around the World in One Night. The theme came alive as G Hotel associates dressed up to represent different countries and cultures from around the world. The ballroom was filled with colourful outfits and creative looks, creating a lively atmosphere that reflected the diversity of the G Hotel team. The evening began with a special opening performance by the Heads of Departments before General Manager Mr. Michael Hanratty welcomed the associates. It was also an evening to recognise the hard work and dedication of the G Hotel team throughout the year.
International Feast for the G Hotel Team. Food was an important part of the celebration, with an international inspired dinner prepared for the associates. The menu included Nasi Briyani Kashmir, Spaghetti Napolitana with Chicken ,Roasted Grilled Chicken, Butter Prawn and Thai Red Curry Red Snapper
Adding to the experience, the hotel owners and Heads of Departments also joined in serving the food to the associates. There were also live action stations, giving everyone more opportunities to enjoy the food throughout the evening.
Entertainment and Associate Performances. The celebration was not just about food and dinner. The G Hotel associates also took centre stage with a series of performances prepared by different departments. Five performances entertained the crowd during the evening:

🎸 Rock & Soul – solo performance from Culinary
A special performance by Jay also added to the entertainment for the night. The variety of performances showed the creative side of the G Hotel team, with associates from different departments coming together to put on their own shows. Celebrating Long Service and Outstanding Associates One of the meaningful moments of the evening was the Long Service Awards. Associates celebrating 5, 10, 15 and 20 years of service were recognised for their loyalty, dedication and contribution to G Hotel. The awards continued with several other recognitions including:

These awards highlighted the talent, creativity and commitment of the people behind the G Hotel operation. Games, Lucky Draws and a DJ Rave The fun continued with games and multiple rounds of lucky draws, keeping the excitement going throughout the evening. Of course, everyone was waiting for the Final Lucky Draw, which became one of the highlights towards the end of the celebration. The evening then moved into its final segment with the introduction of the Staff Party Committee 2026, followed by a lively DJ rave session. From dinner and performances to games, awards and dancing, the celebration brought together different departments and generations of G Hotel associates under one roof.
More Than Just a Staff Party. The G Hotel Staff Party 2026 was more than an annual dinner. With the theme “Travel Around the World in One Night!”, the celebration reflected the diversity and unity of the G Hotel family while giving associates an opportunity to relax, have fun and celebrate their achievements together. Behind every hotel stay and every guest experience are the people working behind the scenes. Events like this provide an opportunity for the team to celebrate those people and the collective effort that keeps G Hotel moving forward. With associates from G Hotel Gurney and G Hotel Kelawai coming together for one evening, it was certainly a colourful way to celebrate the G Hotel family.
G Hotel Staff Party 2026 brought together food, culture, entertainment, recognition and plenty of fun under one roof. With colourful costumes representing destinations around the world and performances from different departments, the night was a celebration of the people who make up the G Hotel family.
