Probably the name Huo Guo Shan Hill is not widely know by many but if i were to tell you that there is this Hill in Bukit Mertajam which is currently trending and famous among instagramers due to its 328 steps of Rainbow Stairways, then probably you will know which it is.
Recently this particular stairways has been really famous and there are a lot of people from all walks of life come here to have their photo taken here. This stairway is just part of what is available at Huo Guo Shan, in order to reach this colourful stairway there are some hiking need to be done. Unaware of that, i come here unprepared.
To my surprise it is a long steep uphill hike but the good thing is, there is a properly paved road for easy walking so that this challenge of walking up to the 328 Rainbow Stairways can be taken up by anyone.
Along the way, there are proper resting place for those who would like to take a break after a tiring walking up hill.
Along the way up to the Rainbow Stairway, you can see nice scenery and greenery all around, so walk up slowly while enjoying the calm nature of Huo Huo Shan hill. There is also a food stall along the way up where you can sit, rest while enjoy some food. This stall is located very near the Rainbow Stairway, so the moment you see this stall, you are just about 100 meters away from the Rainbow Stairway but make sure you follow the signboard along the way up to reach this food stall here as there is a junction half way which will lead you to another area of which i am not sure of.

So have a break at this stall, enjoy some drinks and food before continue your walk up because reaching the Rainbow Stairways is not the end of the hike, it is just the beginning.
If you only wish to take photo of this Stairs then by reaching here is good enough, you can take countless of beautiful photo with your hiking buddy, friends or family.
The 328 number or stairs will actually lead you up to the top of the Huo Huo Shan, so go ahead and climb it all the way up.
At the top of Huo Guo Shan, you can see many different types of cute and beautiful sculpture of animal. The environment here is really nice, though it might get a little bit hot as it gets later in the morning but if you are there early, you can enjoy the nice view and scenery, take a sit at their open space platform before descending Huo Guo Shan again.
Getting There :
Some people say that getting there is tricky but for me, i feel that as long as you have the correct GPS Location, then i guess there should not be any problem.
