In the pursuant of excellent dining experience for all guests, the hotel is proud to introduce their two new leaders to continue spearheading the Food and Beverage together with their Culinary Team. With their two new leaders in their Culinary Team, G Hotel has taken the steps to introduce more new and unique-one-of-a-kind menu to their buffets list.

Taste Cafe is now offering a buy 2 free 1 promotion for all lunch and dinner buffets, be it to dine for a simple meal or a very special gathering. Taste Cafe is famous for its first ever Lava Stone BBQ that grills succulent meat and fresh seafood perfectly.

If BBQ is not your thing, fret not, there are still other choice of the buffet dinner from the counters which features salad bar, cheese section, ice cream station and Japanese selection with the menu that changes according to the buffet themes from appetizer and antipasto to soup to carving station and live action station as well as the dessert.

However with an intelligent touch of G Hotel Gurney newly accredited Executive Sous Chef, dining guest can now expect flavorful fusion of Western and Asian cuisine. Now guest can also make their own Caesar Salad for a healthier start of the meal before heading to appetizers for some cheese, Rojak, Malaysian tapas and others. Prawns, mussels and scallops are being offered on a bed of glistening ice, retaining its freshness all night long.

Soup here is really amazing as well and they are kept warm throughout the night, so be sure to scoop up a warm bowl of Penang Oxtail Soup or Potato and Leek soup to gush down the starters. At the carving station, get the chefs to slice the tender lamb leg to go with BBQ mint sauce and fill up your plate with roasted duck, chicken and steamed chicken too. If you want to dig into some Penang Local food, there will be Char Koay Teow, Chicken and Lamb Satay complement with peanut sauce and condiments at the action station where the chefs will cook fresh before your eyes.

I know, some of us won't feel full with all these small side dish and not eating the main, don't worry, G Hotel Gurney got it all covered. There will be mixture of cuisine from all around the world which include Pasta with cheese sauce, grilled fish fillet with salsa and lemon butter, beef with chilli soy sauce, black pepper mussels, ayam masak merah, kampung style cat fish curry and more !

Malaysian grilled chicken chop with Taste Cafe's curry tomato sauce is the specialty here at G Hotel Gurney. The curry paste is prepared by their own chef, ensuring freshness and the aroma of the curry, as well as the tomato sauce that is homemade to offer guests a unique sauce to go with the grilled chicken chop. As Malaysian, this type of curry dish definitely must be taken together with steamed rice.

Now this next dish is my favorite and it is also something special that you can't find anywhere else as this Spanish seafood and meat paella is specially created by G Hotel Gurney chef. Spanish seafood and meat paella is a Spanish dish of rice containing saffron, mixed seafood and chicken cooked with homemade tomato sauce.

Not forgetting also the Shredded Duck with Bean Sprouts, Potato Au Gratin and a simple yet delicious Mixed Vegetables.

There are too many desserts to choose from, i was spoilt for choice, i end up trying all, haha ! The one that i highly recommend is their Cempedak Cake.

There are also Jelly, Nyonya Kuih, Chocolate fountain, fruits, ice cream and many others to end the meal on a sweet note. Oh, don't forget to try out their fruits juice too, with no sugar added .. !

The Buy 2 Free 1 promotion is applicable for daily International buffet lunch from 12.00 pm to 3.00 pm at RM 95.00 nett, International buffet dinner at 6.30 pm until 10.30 pm from Sunday to Thursday at RM 120.00 nett and Oriental Lava Stone BBQ buffet dinner on every Friday and Saturday at RM 155.00 nett.
