Being officially opened on 9 December 2017 at The Food Street of Design Village, Penang, Fa Ying Thai Fare And Cafe is serving Thai Cuisine. Fa Ying Thai Fare And Cafe are a Pork free restaurant, with the opening of Fa Ying Thai Fare And Cafe, this add another Cafe at Design Village and more food choice for people shopping at Design Village.
I was skeptical about the food here at first when i enter Fa Ying Thai Fare And Cafe because Thai food is all about Pork but Fa Ying Thai Fare And Cafe is not serving Pork, so how they do it ?
BKK Chicken Rice RM 12.90
This plate of BKK Chicken Rice looks like the Thai Famous Pork Rice with meat on top of the rice, some vegetables, egg and some gravy. Will it live up to my expectation ? Surprisingly, it did .. Well in terms of taste, of course it taste different but it is tasty .. ! If only the serving portion could be bigger .. i would eat more, haha !
Tab Tim Krob (Rubies in Coconut Milk) RM 5.50
My all time favorite Tab Tim Krob ! Maybe i set my expectation too high when i see this plate of Tab Tim Krob. I was kinda disappointed because it does not live up to my expectation. The translation of the name itself is Rubies in Coconut Milk but i don't taste the Coconut Milk in the bowl of Tab Tim Krob, some of the ingredients are soft which is suppose to be a little bit crunchy on the inside.
Other than these two, there are still some food you can try like the Green Curry Chicken Rice, Tomyam Soup and few more. Add on for Thai Fragrant Rice and Fried Eggs are allowed too. With charge included or course .. (^.^)v
