When you hear the word "Penang" what is the first thing that come to your mind ? Food ! That is the first word that come to my mind. Yes, food is one of the many things that Penang is famous for, especially their tasty and unique Hawker food.
Berjaya Hotel Penang is going all out in bring you some of the famous Penang Hawker food and serve it in their Hotel, The Cafe. 'Eat Like The Locals Do' with every visit to The Cafe in Berjaya Hotel Penang. The Cafe is now offering an exciting array of Penang Hawker Dish, made with fresh and finest quality ingredients.

The Cafe is not only serving local Chinese cuisine, they even mix it up with some Fried Mee Mamak and also Nasi Goreng so that guest will be able to cover all the locals food from all level in just one place, which is at Berjaya Hotel Penang.

Eight signatures dish anchor the menu and each is prepared by 'Who Knows Best' in Penang. Other than, Char Koey Teow, Fried Mee Mamak and Nasi Goreng, there is also dish like, Char Hor Fun, Hokkien Char Bee Hoon, Rojak Buah and Ais Kacang.

This actually give you the authentic locals feeling of dining at the Hawker stall, Berjaya Hotel is putting in a lot of effort to make sure that their guest are able to enjoy their local hawker food in The Cafe exactly like how they would at the Hawker Stalls.

For me, my personal favorite is their Char Koey Teow and Ice Kacang. The Char Koey Teow is well cooked and not too oily while the Ice Kacang has a lot of ingredient in it and a scoop of Ice Cream on top. If you love Penang local food, then you can add Berjaya Hotel into your 'Jalan Jalan Cari Makan' list of Penang Hawker food to try.
All the signature dishes here are available during lunch from 12.00 pm to 3.00 pm on weekdays and dinner from 6.30 pm to 10.00 pm on Sunday to Thursday. However, as for Rojak Buah and Ice Kacang, it is served from 12.00 pm to 5.00 pm, just perfect for an evening tea with a cup of Teh Tarik, haha ! The price for the Penang Hawker's Delight starts from RM 5.00. With the mix of heritage and modernity, The Cafe is an ideal space for an informal catch up with friends and colleagues or a gathering with family to savour the best of what Penang Hawker Delight has to offer.
