Stepping into G Hotel Kelawai, you will be greeted by friendly staffs at the designer lobby and being ushered into the conceptual gigantic golden bird cage where it leads to the lobby lounge. I have always like to come to G Hotel Kelawai because of its comfortable setting and how this place is design and decorated in style with care and quality.
The 2PM lounge is carefully crafted and delicately decorated that appeals to the sophisticated. 2PM is a destination where lifestyle and architecture are emphasized. It has the perfect atmosphere for relaxing and unwinding after a long day. Contemporary furnishings and natural light streaming through the double storey windows create an inviting atmosphere.
Well, for this post today, I am not here to talk about the decoration and interior of G Hotel Kelawai but I am writing this post to bring your attention to their Afternoon Tea. G Hotel Kelawai is famed for their Afternoon Tea which start from 2.00 pm until 5.00 pm daily.
2PM is featuring their three-tiered silver stand of new treats on the plates which include homemade scones, fruit tartlets, macaron, French pastries and a pot of tea of your choice. It is so hard for me to pick a favorite from G Hotel Kelawai three-tiered silver stand Afternoon Tea. I like all the food serve here. The scones are tasty, the macaron is not too sweet, the fruits from the fruit tartlets are juicy and the pastries is good. Basically, I enjoy every bite of the food from G Hotel Kelawai Afternoon Tea.
The Afternoon Tea is priced at RM50.00 nett per set which is enough for two persons' sharing portion.
This month, G Hotel Kelawai bring something special into their menu, this is also the special highlight in September. The Chocolate Bomb which is available only in September from 2.00 pm until 5.00 pm daily at only RM25.00. G Hotel Kelawai Chocolate Bomb is definitely a must-try dessert for all chocolate lover.
Implode the chocolate sphere by pouring the hot chocolate sauce onto it. The chocolate sphere will melt slowly and unearth a sweet explosion of vanilla ice cream, fresh fruits and cake. Since, the Chocolate Bomb is only available for September 2018, why not go over to G Hotel Kelawai and hype up your tea time with the Chocolate Bomb before the promotion is over.
Other than just Afternoon Tea, 2PM also offers a selection of sandwiches which include Salmon Bagel, Toasted Tuna Sandwich and G Hotel Kelawai Chef's recommendation the 2PM Decker. The 2PM Decker is a G Hotel Kelawai special, it is even name after 2PM Kelawai. It is actually a classic club sandwich with grilled chicken, fried egg, vegetables and served with fries.
By nightfall, 2PM are transforms into an evening gathering of friends or family sharing bites over signature cocktails after work. There are food for sharing portion like Quattro Formaggio Pizza, Aurora Pollo Pizza and Chilli Margarita Pizza.
If Pizza is too filling for you, G Hotel Kelawai have you covered with food that allow you to munch while having a sip, there are bites such as Togarishi Rings from the menu. Togarishi Rings are actually fried squid rings dusted with togarishi and served with wasabi mayo which will open up your appetite. There are also Chicken In Basket, Lamb and Potato, Crab and Mango and Filet Mignon Crostini of beef slices grilled to perfection and topped on garlic crostini and tomato chutney.
So, if you ask, what if you don’t want to eat but just want to have some drinks ? Well, G Hotel Kelawai bar at 2PM offers some notable beverages that are worth mentioning. There are some international mocktails that are personally curated by their in house mixologists.
Their ice blended Watermelon Pudina which is made of watermelon and pineapple juice infused with fresh mint leaves is worth the try, other than that, there is Pink Perfection with a mix of strawberry, watermelon, orange and lime juice for a healthy blush and G Hotel Kelawai signature JK Jam with a blend of orange, mango, lychee, grenadine and lemonade juice that is refreshing.
To name a few Classic Cocktails such as Pina Colada, Singapore Sling and Cosmopolitan is also available at G Hotel Kelawai as well as the all time favourite Pomegranate Mojito, Chilli Lada and Lychee SMASH are all available in their menu.
For Coffee lover, you can also have your Coffee Craving fix here too, there are some good coffee available in their menu for you to choose from.
Buy 1 free 1 promotion on all house pours is available from 5.00 pm onwards. 2PM is also running the Bitter Sweet promotion where guests can choose to have a cup of coffee or tea to be served along with a cupcake or 3 pieces of cookies at only RM 25.00.
2PM is Open daily from 2.00 pm until 10.30 pm, whether it is a chatter over a glass of wine or champagne to loosen the edge off after a hectic day, 2PM is stylishly defined to that.
