A rewarding culinary experience awaits diners at the 'Kampung Ku' Buffet Dinner held at The Straits Cafe and Baba Nyonya Hall of the Ixora Hotel Penang. This Buffet Dinner is available from 7 May 2019 until 3 June 2019 in conjunction with the Ramadan and Raya celebration. The Buffet Dinner will run from 7.00 pm until 10.00 pm daily.

Soups offered in the rotational menu including sup kambing berempah dengan kentang, sup tomyam lautan and sup ekor ala kampong. All the food here are tailored made to suite the taste of locals here in Penang as it is featured more in the Kampung Style of cooking.

Paraded on the main buffet counter are dishes bursting with robust flavors like ayam kuzi berempah dengan kismis, gulai ikan kell timun muda tumis darat, udang goreng nestum daun kari, sambal tumis kerang dengan ubi, kupang masam manis and siput lala goreng bercili. Other varied offerings that are showcased are the daging shamah, patin masak cuka cili padi, gulai udang rebung, siput lala cincaluk, ayam panggang percik sos pandan and many more. With these wide range of food variety, diners will surely be spoiled for choice.
The whole dining experience is further enlivened by the presence of chef manned stations where kampong favorites like ikan bakar, kambing golek, kebab, pasembur, rojak and Penang asam laksa prepared ala minute.
