Fully utilizing part of the building at a Caltex Petrol Station, Bourke Street Cafe | 角落咖啡馆 is serving people around Simpang Ampat, Penang some nice food with nice environment, though Bourke Street Cafe is not a big place but it is comfortable enough for a dine in. During my visit, this place is full.
BBQ Skewer Rice with Black Pepper Sauce RM 12.90
Food serve here is simple, the name itself represent what the dish is, like this BBQ Skewer Rice with Black Pepper Sauce, it is a plate of Rice with Egg and Two piece of BBQ Skewer covered with Black Pepper Sauce. To me, i feel that it is just average, the BBQ Skewer is a bit dry on the inside, other than that, it is acceptable.
Chicken Chop with Mushroom Sauce RM 14.90
Chicken Chop here is my favorite, the Chicken is tender and it goes well with the Mushroom Sauce. The mash potato that comes with it is good too. Food serving size here is just average, a plate of Chicken Chop like this is just enough for one person. For any of the main course that you order, you may add an additional of RM 3.00 for a cup of Lemon Tea or Peach Tea or Honey Lemon.
Pearl Green Tea RM 8.90
Bourke Street Cafe serve variety of food and drinks, they also have the currently trending type of drinks, which is the Pearl Tea, haha ! I tried their Pearl Green Tea and i like it, the taste of the Green Tea is not too strong neither does the taste of the tea, it is a well balance of them both. The quantity of Pearl in it is average, not too much, not too little but the whole cup of Pearl Green Tea is sweet.
