Buns and Bowl @ Taman Mesra Permai, Butterworth, Penang

There are not many cafe or restaurant i know that serve breakfast early in the morning, those i know are mainly Dim Sum restaurant, so i decided to drive a bit furthure away from Penang Island and ended up at Butterworth, Penang.

Buns and Bowl which is located in Taman Mesra Permai, Butterworth, Penang is a very hidden place, if you are not familiar with this area or you are not a local here, it is not easy to find Buns and Bowl.

Buns and Bowl serve variety of breakfast food, ranging from Vegetarian food to Buns, English Breakfast, Dessert, Toast and daily Special like the Century Eggs Porridge, Char Moey (Fried Porridge) and more !

Classic (Ham, Egg, Cheese, Veggies) RM 6.90

For me, i decided to try their Classic Sandwich which is a mixture of Ham, Eggs, Cheese and Vegetables. This plate of Classic Sandwich taste good. It is not dry as there are some mayonnaise in it while the eggs and bread are not over cooked.

Braised Pork Rice

The Braised Pork Rice comes in a set, where the set include a Main Course + a cup of drink. In this set, i can either choose a cup of Coffee or Milo, so i go for Milo instead. The Braised Pork Rice here is average with only some pork meat in it, 2 slice of cucumber and 1 egg.

Mee Sua Kor RM 5.50

My favorite here is their weekly special, the Mee Sua Kor. How can i put it, Mee Sua Kor is actually made from a type of Vermicelli cooked in a sticky paste with some vinegar. I like this bowl of Mee Sua Kor because it is not too sticky, eating it is like drinking a bowl of soup with Vermicelli in it, it is a comfort to the stomach in a early morning.

Milo Ice

I am not sure if it is the owner of this place that give me this free Sweet Granadilla, so kind of them to let me try this fruits, appreciate their generosity.
