With more than 90% of the adult population in Malaysia is being fully vaccinated, Malaysia is now moving into its Covid19 recovery phases where there are less restriction on everyone's movement and activities. This mean that the travel industry is starting to bloom. When planning for a travel, the most important thing is of course accommodation. A comfortable and affordable place to stay for the night after a tiring day out is important. Bishop Inn which is located along Bishop Street in Georgetown, Penang does exactly that, giving its customer a comfortable place to stay in the heart of Georgetown at an affordable price.
Being located in the heart of Georgetown Penang means that Bishop Inn is in a very strategic location. Within a 5 minutes walking distance from Bishop Inn you can find a lot of eating place, to name a few, there is the famous Toh Soon Cafe directly in front of Bishop Inn, 34 Bishop Cafe which is a Western Food cafe directly on the right side of Bishop Inn, the well known Two Frenchies Italian Restaurant also located next to it and many more. Meaning, staying here guest won't have problem finding food. 34 Bishop Cafe even give a special discount to everyone staying in Bishop Inn.
Being a new player in town, Bishop Inn is a brand new hotel that uses modern design which makes the entire hotel looks classy with a little touch of baba nyonya decoration. Every corner of Bishop Inn if carefully design to gives guest a comfortable home feeling. There are a total of 68 rooms with 5 different room types.
Quadruple Room
The Quadruple Room is very specious and is suitable for those who travel with family or a big group of friends who wish to stay together in the same room. It consist of two comfortable queen beds. Enough to comfortably accommodate up to four adult. This room has its own toilet inside the room. Overall size of this room is around 23 m-square.
Deluxe Triple Room
If you are parents with one kid, then you can probably choose the Deluxe Triple Room where there is a twin bed and a queen bed inside the room. This particular room has a connecting door to the next Quadruple Room making this an ideal option for those traveling with big family. The size of this room is also 23 m-square.
Standard Queen Room
On thing i like about Bishop Inn is that all their toilet is located inside the room, which means it is a private toilet not the sharing type. The toilet here is comfortable and has enough space for you to move around in it. The next room is the Standard Queen Room which is suitable for a more private type of travel. Best for couple who want privacy and a room with comfortable bed for a good night rest after a long day out and about. The bed may look small at first but i was able to stretch my legs fully without the worry of hitting the wall.
Superior Twin Room
I love how Bishop Inn design their rooms. All the rooms give you the sense of privacy and feeling of home. Comfortable to have a sound sleep at night. One particular room that interest me is their Superior Twin Room which consist of two twin beds. But the catch is, one is on the floor while the other is hanging on top. Look something like a double decker bed but without the worry of knocking your head when you wake up if you are sleeping on the lower bunk. This type of room is best for those traveling with friend or your travel buddy.
Deluxe Queen Room
If you are someone who prefer ample space, then the Deluxe Queen Room will do the trick. Equip with one big queen bed suitable for two. Every room here in Bishop Inn comes with clean tower and kettle for you to boil hot water. Every room have a big mirror and a flat screen tv for your entertainment.
Since Bishop Inn is new, so you can expect that everything in this hotel is clean and new. I do have the confident that Bishop Inn will continue to be clean because the owner of this hotel is someone who is very strict when it comes to cleanliness.
The one down side of this hotel is that, there is no car parking space available here. Guest will have to find their own parking around this area. Other than that, i love every bit of what Bishop Inn has to offer. Bishop Inn is not only near to some famous eatery but also near to some of Penang point of interest like Fort Cornwallis, Penang Street Art, Penang 3D Museum, Peranakan Museum, Wonderfood Museum and more.
