Hidden away from the eyes of public, this little place in Sungai Petani Kedah is located somewhere inside a so-called forest with shady trees all around. So if you are interested to dine in a forest then Mori Forest Cafe is the place to go for your breakfast.
Finding the Mori Forest Cafe is not easy if you are not familiar with the area here in Sungai Petani, even GPS system is not able to bring you to the exact place. So how do you find it ? Don't worry, i will tell you how later in this post, so continue reading until the end, you will know how !
Mori Forest Cafe is a cafe which only serve breakfast. The food serving here is just nice for a light breakfast and they practice self service here at Mori Forest Cafe. You will need to order your food at their counter and once your food is ready, you will have to collect it at the counter.
Dining here is really nice, as this area is surrounded by greens and trees. The environment is calm and relaxing with some soft music. It does get a little noisy when the place is full with people dining in but over all, the environment here is nice.
While for the food here, some is tasty and some is average, depending on what you order. During my visit, i ordered their Big Breakfast which is the largest portion of all the food i tried and it taste good too.
Big Breakfast RM 13.90
Serve with hash brown, sausage, pork bacon, baked beans, sauté mushrooms, sweet corn, caramelized tomato and vegetables with sesame sauce. My personal favorite is their Scallion Pancakes Chicken Slice and Cheese.
Scallion Pancakes Chicken Slice and Cheese RM 9.90
The name Scallion Pancakes Chicken Slice and Cheese itself says it all, this place of Scallion Pancakes is serve with Chicken Slice and Cheese inside it. Some tomatoes, vegetables and some mayonnaise on top of it. It is then wrap with a crunchy layer of Scallion Pancakes. It is tasty with some crispy and chewy texture to it.
Puff Chicken Slice and Cheese RM 5.90
If you wish to go for something light, then you may also try their Puff Chicken Slice and Cheese. It comes in a small size of which i finish it with only 2 big bites. I like the Puff, it has some light sweet taste to it and it goes well with the Chicken Slice and Cheese in it. There are also some tomato and cucumber in it too.
Mori Forest Cafe also serve some steam bread, the one i tried is their Steam Bread with Kaya and Butter while the other one is Peanut Butter with Condensed Milk. For me, i personally feel that their bread is just average but it is something nice to munch on if you are looking for something light to go with their nice half boiled egg.

In terms of drinks, there are a few to choose from. From fruit juice like Orange, Guava and Apple to Coffee like Kopi O, Nescafe and Neslo. Mori Forest Cafe also have their self cook drinks like Barley Lemongrass and Red Date Longan. The drinks here is good, especially their cup of coffee, it is serve in a very small cup.

Getting There :
Some people feels that they are lost in a jungle the first time they are there but don't worry, the road leading towards Mori Forest Cafe may look like it is leading you to a jungle but that is the correct way to Mori Forest Cafe.
1. First, drive all the way to (https://goo.gl/maps/ofvmnDdbifV3oDWT6)

2. You will see 3 different roads like the one shown on map above. Take the one in the middle.
3. Drive straight until you come to a junction on your left.
4. Turn left into the junction and continue to drive straight. Don't be alarm, the road may be narrow, full of tall grass and trees.
5. Continue to drive straight and it will lead you straight to Mori Forest Cafe.
6. Once you are there, you can find a place to park your car and enjoy your breakfast.
