KAZE Japanese Restaurant @ Promenade, Bayan Baru, Penang

KAZE Japanese Restaurant which is located at Promenade, Bayan Baru, Penang has been there ever since Promenade area stars operating but it was only recently that i manage to get the chance to dine in to try out their food. In terms of environment, KAZE Japanese Restaurant is a nice place to dine in, they have private room for big group dine in too, which is nice as you can have your own space with big group of friends.

Shiro Ramen RM 23.00

As usual, the name of Japanese food always confuse me especially when it is being partially translated to English but anyway. What i usually do is just look at the photo from the menu and choose what looks nice to me without actually knowing exactly what its made of, haha ! There are a lot of food to choose from KAZE Japanese Restaurant menu, their menu is thick with a lot of food choices inside. My favorite is their Shiro Ramen which is a bowl of noodles with Roasted Pork Belly, Flavoured Half Boiled Egg and Vegetables in Rich Broth. It is serve hot and is tasty. The Broth is not too salty and the the egg is nicely done. A big bowl of noodle like this is enough to make me full and satisfy.

There are many category of food at KAZE ranging from Set Lunch, Sashimi, Tataki, Sushi, Temaki, Resai, Otsumami, Takimono, Agemono, Nabemono, Menrui, Donburi, Gohan, Teishoku and more. There are some really nice Sushi set that you can choose from to share with friends. Some Sushi comes in a set of 8 or 6 depending on what you order.

Tamago Mentai Aburi Yaki RM 2.80 / piece

My favorite Sushi here is their Tamago Mentai Aburi Yaki, which come in a single piece. If you want more, you will need to mention the quantity you want to the waiter there. It is made from Omelet Topped with Seared Cod Roe. The Omelet has some light sweet taste to it and the Seared Cod Roe has some burn salty taste to it. This combination is what i really love.

If you are a green tea lover then Macha Macha is probably the one you will like. It is like a cup of overloaded Macha. Everything is Macha in this cup of drinks. The drinks itself is Macha and it is topped with a scoop of ice cream which is also a Macha. This cup of drinks is nice, not too sweet and the Macha taste is not too bitter, taste just nice !
