A Weekend Brimming with Music, Anime, Toys, Collectibles and Hobbies at the Vibrant Hard Rock Hotel Penang. That was what happened last weekend at Hard Rock Hotel in Penang where people from all around Penang with the same interest in music, art, toys and hobbies gather for the MATCH x PLAY Penang 2024 event.

In an exciting announcement, Armory TCG, in collaboration with the iconic Hard Rock Hotel Penang, hosted Penang's most electrifying gathering for enthusiasts of Music, Art, Toys, Cosplay, and Hobbies at the MATCH x PLAY 2024. This dynamic event light up the island of Penang on the 18th and 19th of May 2024, from 12.00 pm to 9.00 pm, promising attendees an unforgettable weekend. Hard Rock Hotel was crowded with guest and also cosplayer making this event even more happening and interesting.

MATCH x PLAY 2024 aims to create a vibrant tapestry of Anime, Comic and Games cultures, seamlessly woven with the infectious rhythms of music. The event is conceived as a gathering and celebration, bringing together engaging activities, creative showcases and boundless opportunities for fellowship among fans of all generations. Guest gets to play interesting board game, card games and even video game among themselves. This is a place where people with same interest gather, meet up and have fun regardless of generation.

This year's edition of MATCH x PLAY see an exhilarating lineup of activities. Attendees participated in intense battles of Trading Card Games featuring favorites like Pokemon, Vanguard and Flesh and Blood. Additionally, a Premier Card Grading service were also available for collectors looking to have their cards professionally inspected and graded. For Warhammer enthusiasts, a special tutorial session were also done to provide insights into the art of Warhammer painting, coupled with engaging gameplay. It was interesting to see how these small miniature characters are brought to live through these painting where every little details is taken into consideration during the painting process.

 

The event also feature Interactive Booths and Digital Game Tournaments, offering a hands-on experience and competitive gaming atmosphere. Cosplay also take center stage with a Cosplay Central area dedicated to showcasing vocal talents through a Singing Competition as well as creativity and performance skills in a Performance Competition. MATCH x PLAY 2024 were also brought to live with the sound of Live Music and Stage Performances throughout the weekend, ensuring a lively and entertaining environment for all. With special appearance by Zainal Abidin, Malaysia very own famous and favorite singer who also perform a few of his greatest hits during the MATCH x PLAY 2024 event.

Adding to the excitement, there was a Lucky Draw session that give attendees the chance to win amazing prizes and Special Guest Appearances are set to thrill fans, providing unique opportunities to meet some of their idols.

Each tickets for MATCH x PLAY 2024 offer access to the full array of activities, a welcome soft drink and an entry into the lucky draw. Prices were set at RM 20.00 for a 1-Day Pass and RM 40.00 for a 2-Day Pass, making this event an accessible and must-attend gathering for fans and enthusiasts alike.
