Being famous for its laksa, Kim Seng Kopitiam is building a strong reputation for serving the best laska in Balik Pulau, Penang, well that is what we heard, haha ! So we went and give it a try ..
Being famously call as Kim Laksa, this place is serving 3 type of laksa which is the Asam Laksa, Laksa Lemak and Mix Laksa (Asam Laksa & Laksa Lemak). To us they all physically looks the same.

So does it really live up to its name for being the best laksa in Balik Pulau, Penang ? Well, this is what we think after trying Kim Laksa. The laksa here taste good but we won't say that this is the best laksa because we can still find other laksa which is almost as good as Kim Laksa. So is it worth trying ? Yes, we feel it is worth if you happen to be at Balik Pulau area but it is not worth just to drive all the way up hill for a bowl of laksa.
The one we are showing here is the new location of Kim Laksa as they have moved away from the old location which is in Balik Pulau town area.
So how to find the new location ? Drive all the way up to Balik Pulau town and you will see a small round about, so if you are coming from Relau or Paya Terubong area, then you will need to take the 2nd exit of the round about, then drive straight for around 2 to 3 km until you come to Bandar Baru Air Puteh, you will see a sign board on your right. Turn right and drive straight until you see a row of shops on your right, Kim Laksa is in the same row of the shop.
Other than selling Laksa, Kim Seng Kopitiam also selling Fried Koay Tiau and Nutmag drinks.
