This is not something new for me, probably i would say that this place is really old for me. I have been here countless time every since their prime time back in the 80's where this place is pack with people eating here with family and friends. This is in fact a very popular place for friends gathering in Sungai Petani last time. Being located beside the Sungai Petani river, it was also once a very nice romantic place for couple to come here for a date, but now, it seems like this place is so quiet with not many people anymore ..
Even though there is not many people here now but there is still one stall here that are getting a lot of attention not only the attention from the locals here but from other states in Malaysia as well, surprisingly, the many years of me coming here, i never really notice anything special here but people from other states keep asking me about the existence of this little stall here. There has been some really bad insult being thrown at me when i say that i didn't notice anything special here, so today, i purposely take the time out to come here to check out this still call Ch'ng Chon Kooi which is said to be really famous for its Ice Blended Red Bean drinks.
Red Bean Ice Blended RM 2.30
Ok, after trying i feel that their Red Bean Ice Blended is nice, the texture of the Ice Blended is smooth and the Red Bean inside it is very finely grind and blended with ice, it is very different from other Ice Blended out there where you can actually taste the strong Red Bean taste but won't feel the small pieces of Red Bean inside your mouth as it is grind until it become very fine and smooth Red Bean. With some Milo on top, it give some sweetness to the Red Bean Ice Blended.
Ice Kacang RM 2.30
This bowl of Ice Kacang is nice too, though the ingredient put into this bowl of Ice Kacang is not much but it is good enough to get my Ice Kacang craving fixed, haha !
Dry Noodle RM 4.00
Dry Koey Teow RM 4.00
Other than drinks from Ch'ng Chon Kooi stall, there are other food available here at this place too. You can also enjoy their Dry Noodles and Dry Koey Teow, both of which i think is tasty.
And directly behind Ch'ng Chon Kooi stall there is another stall which is selling Rojak, what i want to highlight from this stall is that they are serving Vegetarian Rojak, so to all my Vegetarian friends out there reading this post, you can come and try their Vegetarian Rojak.
