If you love Puppet show and love knowing the history of Penang, then the Ombak Potehi Puppet show will be something interesting for you to see. Well, i enjoy myself very much watching Ombak Potehi and feel that it is worth my time and money.

It was just a month ago that Ombak Potehi where held in Penang House Of Music, this time Ombak Potehi tell the story of Penang back in the days when Baba and Nyonya first come to Penang until they day Japan take over Malaysia and how Malaysian win the war against Japan with the help from British.

The story focus mainly on the life of a few family and friends in Penang on how they live their life, making new friend from different culture and background. Together they as Malaysian stick together and fight for independent. It also show how the war affected their life and business.

Ombak Potehi basically sums up the earlier history of Penang and showcase in Puppet show with lots of interesting music and dancing in the Puppet show. They even added an element of surprise that i never thought a Puppet could do, haha ! I am not going to reveal the surprise, if you would like to know, then join me next time for their show, haha !
