If mention about the name SeaQueen Seafood Restaurant, most people will think about their Dinner Set Package or SeaQueen Wedding Dinner Package but how many people actually know that SeaQueen Restaurant also serve Dim Sum ?
So for this post, we will only be talking about SeaQueen's tasty Dim Sum ! As it really deserve the rights for a single post here all by itself to get all the credits it deserve, haha ! Imagine having Dim Sum by the sea, wouldn't that be awesome ? Well now you can ! As Dim Sum by the sea restaurant is now serving new menu which is available from 7.30 am to 2.30 pm Every Day. First launched in March 2019, the Dim Sum Varieties menu consists of 52 authentic and creative Cantonese Dim Sum.
'Siew Mai' Dumpling RM 9.00
Dim Sum by the sea restaurant as what people here at SeaQueen Restaurant calls it is helmed by SeaQueen Restaurant very own Executive Chef Lau and his team. Chef Lau has over forty years of Dim Sum culinary experience, is here to make some really tasty Dim Sum for their patron to try on. Made with fresh ingredients, the Dim Sum here is something to shout about. With a place overlooking a splendid seafront view at Straits Quay, the Dim Sum by the sea ensures that all their patrons dine royally with the freshest ingredients and prepared by their skillful Chef who has been specially trained and had also served The Royals in Brunei Sultan’s Office Garden for many years. With that said, now you have the chance to dine like a Royal at SeaQueen Restaurant, Penang !

Food here is tasty and SeaQueen Restaurant is very generous with the ingredient they use. Their Dim Sum is fully stuffed with fresh ingredient in it. Every bite on the Dim Sum is filled with satisfaction. There are variety of Dim Sum to choose here at SeaQueen Restaurant, we were basically spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing what type of Dim Sum to eat here, if only we can try all, but we would have be bloated after that, haha !

Here at SeaQueen Restaurant you can wide range of Dim Sum from those really classic Dim Sum to those Unique or now trending Dim Sum, haha ! Those Classics all time favorites are like 'Siew Mai' Dumpling, Crystal Shrimp Dumpling and many more but if you are into something different then maybe you can try their Fried Taro Dumpling, Pan Fried Radish Cake or kids favorite like 'Jian Dui' Chinese Fried Sesame Balls, Egg Tart, Cabbage And Shrimp Chee Cheong Fun and many more.

What really interest us is that SeaQueen Restaurant really make the effort to bring in some unique dish to their Dim Sum menu. Food like Boat Porridge 'Ting Zai' and Eight Treasures Mix Soup Dumpling (八宝拌汤饺) are some of those that you can find from their menu.
Boat Porridge 'Ting Zai'
Boat Porridge or more commonly known as 'Ting Zai Congee' is one of Hong Kong Iconic Boat Porridge. This humble down to earth porridge is said to be served by family who lives in the boats in Hong Kong and it is also consider as a fast food item for those who are looking for a quick bite of porridge as a meal.
Eight Treasures Mix Soup Dumpling (八宝拌汤饺) RM 18.00
We are not really sure what this dish is call in English but the direct translation from its Mandarin name goes like this, Eight Treasures Mix Soup Dumpling. Well the name Eight Treasures says it all, the Dumpling is packed with ingredients inside and is bursting with flavors.
Food here at SeaQueen Restaurant is tasty and the environment here is nice too. Its classy bright look makes us feel comfortable dining here. It is awesome to enjoy our breakfast early in the morning at a place like SeaQueen while enjoying the sea view of Straits Quay outside.
