You probably heard of the new ads going crazy talking about Chicks !! 'We are no Key Kia, We are IKEA !', this ads seems to be stuck in my brain and it will still be here probably for another few years, haha ! This is how effective IKEA is with their advertising.
People up north of Malaysia, especially Penang has been praying for some day, they don't have to travel all the way to Kuala Lumpur again just to buy furniture from IKEA. Well, it seems like their dream come true when IKEA finally open an outlet in Batu Kawan, Penang !
IKEA has been operating here for about a month and the amount of people here daily is still massive. There is no time of the day where you will see IKEA being empty, well, except for maybe after their operating hour, haha !
Just in case you didn't know, so what is IKEA ? IKEA is Swedish furniture giant, selling many different types of furniture with unique design. IKEA’s new store in Penang is has 49 showrooms and over 8000 products on display. For my opinion, this is crazy big ! haha .. !
Though majority of the people who go to IKEA is looking for furniture but there are some huge number of people who are there for the food, people like me of course, haha !
Restaurant and Cafe at IKEA is said to serve some really nice Meatballs and Curry Puff. Their Curry Puff is tasty, it has eggs inside the Curry Puff which makes the Curry Puff look big. For me, i personally feel that their Curry Puff is the best compare to their Hotdogs which taste average. So may i be, furniture or food, IKEA have you covered .. you don't have to worry about getting hungry after a day long of shopping for furniture, haha !
