As far as i know there are 3 outlet of Ah Ma Pan Mee in Penang alone. There are two in Penang Island and another one at Icon City. Well, i have been to all outlet to try out their food.
All 3 outlet have the same menu, serving their signature Pan Mee which range from Herbal Soup Pan Mee, Dry Pan Mee, Curry Pan Mee and more.
Other than Pan Mee, they also have some small snack dish that goes really well with thier Pan Mee of which i feel you should try.
This outlet that i am mentioning today is the one located at The Promenade, Bayan Lepas, Penang. It is a huge restaurant with many comfortable seating place. This place is clean and has two-story, big enough for many customer to dine in.
Dry AhMa PanMee RM 8.90
If you are someone who love traditional Pan Mee, then you should either try their soup Pan Mee or Dry Pan Mee. For the Dry Pan Mee, it is serve with a bowl of Soup. The taste of their Pan Mee is not bad, the Pan Mee is not too thick and not chewy. The way they cook it does not make it too soft too.
Herbal Soup AhMa PanMee RM 8.90
I tried their Herbal Soup Ah Ma Pan Mee too. In terms of noodle, it is the same like like their Dry Pan Mee but this bowl of Pan Mee is filled with Herbal Soup. The soup is a little bitter probably because of the extensive use of Herbal in their cooking. This bitter taste is fine for me but i know some people might not like it. So if you are into bitter Herbal Soup, then this bowl of Herbal Soup AhMa PanMee should do the trick.
Deep Fried Homemade Fish Tofu RM 8.90
My personal small bite food here is their Deep Fried Homemade Fish Tofu. The taste of the Tofu is a little bland but i like the sauce that comes with it. It goes very well with the sauce. The sauce is a little spicy and sour at the same time with a little sweetness in it.
Guilinggao (Herbal Jelly) RM 6.90
Herbal Tea (Set)
One thing that i like about their Herbal Jelly and Herbal Tea is that they are not sweet. The taste is just right. Overall the food here, i would say is just average, nothing special to shout about but i like dining here because their food is acceptable, environment is comfortable and service is good. Would come back from more Ah Ma Pan Mee !
