Paper Wrapped Noodle | 纸包面 @ Sungai Lalang, Kedah

By : Chha

Just a few minutes drive away from Sungai Petani, this calm and peaceful little small town Sungai Lalang has a kopitiam that serve something unique, it is call as the Paper Wrapped Noodle.

As local Malaysian, paper wrapped food is something normal, we have the forever famous Nasi Lemak which is wrapped in paper too. We also have the economy Bihun, Noodles, Fried Koey Teow which is wrapped in paper as well but in Sungai Lalang, they have something different.

When i look at the noodles here, it look very similar to the regular Wantan Noodles but the only different is that it does not have Wantan in it. The noodles is from those used for wantan noodles and there are some Barbecue Pork meat in it and it is serve dry.

Paper Wrapped Noodle RM 3.50

The Paper Wrapped Noodle here is tasty, i love it ! The noodles is not very dry, there are some gravy to it with tasty Barbecue Pork. The serving size is enough for one people, eating one pack of this Paper Wrapped Noodle is enough to keep me full. Other than this Paper Wrapped Noodle, this kopitiam is also serving Economy Rice and Koey Teow Soup.
