This is one of my favorite restaurant that serve vegetarian food, i personally highly recommend this place. Xiang Yun Vegetarian House which is at Bayan Point, Bayan Lepas, Penang serve variety of Vegetarian Food. Ranging from Local Delight, to Western Food. Environment here in Xiang Yun Vegetarian House is comfortable and their service is good too. Though their food serving may be slow during peak hour or during those important vegetarian days.
Assam Pedas Fish RM 17.90
I have been here countless time trying out different dish every time but my favorite is still their Assam Pedas Fish. The vegetarian fish taste good, though it is fake fish made for vegetarian but it does not taste bad and it goes really well with the Assam Pedas. Very flavorful and tasty. A good bowl of Assam Pedas with some white rice is the best !
Mix Fungi Rice RM 10.90
Other than the Assam Pedas, if you want something with soup to go with rice, their Mix Fungi Soup with Rice is not bad too. It taste a little like Bak Kut Teh but vegetarian friendly. White Rice (Big) RM 1.50 (Small) RM 1.20
Vietnamese Noodle RM 12.90
If i were to compare with the real Vietnamese Noodle from Vietnam, the taste is no where near but it is tasty in its own way. The bihun they use is in a thicker size with tasty soup making the Vietnamese Noodle something worth trying here in Xiang Yun Vegetarian House too.
Apple Island RM 7.90
Xiang Yun Vegetarian House also serve few different types of drinks. During my visit, i tried their Apple Island which is made from Green Apple and Plum. The Green Apple gives it some sweetness while the Plum so sour taste to it making it very refreshing.
Luo Han Guo RM 2.50
White Fungus RM 6.90
Over all, Xiang Yun Vegetarian House is a comfortable place to dine in. It has many seating place, service is good and food is tasty too. Price in my opinion is slightly expensive but it is worth for the quality of food but food serving size is small.
