I have heard a lot of good comment about this place even before i went and try their food, so i decided to head on over to The Pinn | 老品 which is located along Lebuh Melayu, Georgetown, Penang to try out their food there.
The Pinn is said to serve very tasty and fresh dumpling and fish ball, so that is what i order from their menu with a mix of some braised pork rice to go with the fish ball soup. Here at The Pinn you can choose to either order a la carte or their set meal.
What i order during my visit is their Set Meal which consist of Braised Pork Rice, Mixed Vegetables Pickles and Fish Ball Soup and it only cost RM 18.80 for 1 combo set. The Braised Pork Rice is tasty with a whole hard boiled egg cut into half, Braised Pork and some rice. The serving portion is small but it is serve with some Mixed Vegetables Pickles which is slightly salty and sour taste making it very appetizing, it goes really well with the Braised Pork Rice.
From the same set, a bowl of Fish Ball Soup is also serve. There are four fish ball in the bowl but if you order it as a la carte, then you will have more Fish Ball in it. The fish ball is freshly handmade, the meat is soft and tasty. i would say that this is the must try food here at The Pinn. The size of the Fish Ball is small too.
Most of the food here are homemade and prepared fresh. Environment here is comfortable and nice with really good service from their waitress. The waitress know exactly what is in the menu and is really good at recommending what to eat at The Pinn !
