Starting off things with a colourful and tasty Yee Sang. the higher we toss the better the Wealth, Health and Happiness for the coming year of the Tiger. A perfect way to start a reunion dinner with the tossing of Yee Sang, as everyone toss it together, it bring back closeness among friends and strengthen the bonding among family.
Made from combination of Japanese Seaweed, Salmon Cube with Sesame Sauce, Fragrant Cheesy Dragon Ball, Aromatic Spices Money Bag and Crab Claw with Mayo and Ebiko into a single plate. This Chef Special Combination of food will definitely open up the appetite for everyone in taking on the next dish to come. Well presented and tasty too !
Have few bowl of warm soup to calm the tummy while munching on the chicken meat from the Double boiled chicken Essence soup with fish mau, mushroom and chinese herbs. Serve in a big bowl with plenty to share among family and friends.
Next, lets look at Ixora Hotel's Honey Roasted Chicken which is serve with Honey dipping sauce at the side to preserve the Roasted Chicken original taste and let guest adjust the amount of Honey dipping sauce as they wish. The Roasted Chicken goes really well with the Honey giving it some sweet taste.
Also serve with sauce at the side, the Deep fried slipper lobster with Thai special sauce is something to look forward to from Ixora Hotel's Lunar Feast Fortune set Course. The Thai Special Sauce is a little bit spicy to go with the Lobster Meat and this paring is superb !
After all the fried food, chicken and Lobster, it is nice to have some greens into the diet. The mixture of Braised baby abalone, dried scallop, sea cucumber with green vegetable in a plate is a great addition to the course meal. The baby abalone is perfectly cooked and not too chewy.
As Chinese people say '年年有余' which mean "may you have a surplus every year", a benevolent phrase to wish someone luck. So with that said, it is always nice to have a dish of fish for dinner during reunion dinner, this is where Ixora Hotel's Steamed Dragon Tiger Groupers with Special Soya with Garlic Oil comes into play, giving diners a good taste of fish and good year ahead.
Chinese always believe in keeping everyone's tummy full after every meal. The Fragrant Dried Scallop Fried Rice will definitely keep everyone full and satisfy.
Always end a meal on a sweet note, so have a Sweetened warm red bean paste with glutinous ball. There are black sesame inside the glutinous ball.
