Soon Huat Durian Farm @ Balik Pulau, Penang

When talk about durian, it is undeniable that Balik Pulau area has a lot of good place for durian and some of the durian is also in high quality. For me, i personally prefer to go over to Soon Huat Durian Farm. The reason is simply because their service is good, the place is comfortable and nice, most importantly the durian available there is a lot and tasty. In terms of price i can't comment much because durian price now-a-days is crazy expensive, even though normal grade durian is selling at crazy high price every where in Penang.

Firstly, to come over to Soon Huat Durian Farm you have to make appointment with the owner here. Tell when the date and time when you are going, number of pax and also roughly the type of durian that you wish to eat, they will make the arrangement for you. Driving all the way up to Soon Huat Durian Farm is not recommended as Soon Huat Durian Farm is located on a hill with very narrow and steep road. So my suggestion is to park your car somewhere then get arrangement from the owner to have their staff to drive you up to the hill.

What i like most about Soon Huat Durian Farm is that the scenery from up here is nice and comfortable to see with green trees everywhere. This place has proper roof with fan so that i don't have to eat the durian under hot sun with no wind blowing.

They also provide drinking water and also place for you to wash your hand after eating durian.

Depending on what type of durian you eat during your visit here at Soon Huat Durian Farm. Most of the durian is really tasty and the price is depending on the size and types of durian that you order. The good thing about eating durian here is that, you get to open the durian right in front of the owner, if the durian turns out to be rotten, then the owner can change a new one for you.

It is really nice eating durian here at Soon Huat Durian Farm. Would i come back for more durian ? I would love to. It is really a relaxing durian eating session for me during my previous visit but with durian price keep increasing everywhere in Penang. It is hard for me to earn that much of money to eat durian often.
