In celebration of the Chinese New Year, Cafe 168 at G Hotel Gurney presents a delectable array of culinary delights specially crafted by their skilled chefs.

This year, gather all your family members or friend to begin the feast with an auspicious toss of G Hotel signature Yee Sang, featuring condiments and delicate slices of salmon. Toss the Yee Sang as high as possible to welcome a year full of Happiness, good Health and Wealth.

During the Chinese New Year buffet G Hotel will be featuring their Executive Chef's specialty dish which will steals the spotlight with the Roasted Whole Lamb with condiment. Presenting a succulent and perfectly cooked whole lamb imbued with smoky aromas and tender, flavourful meat. Complimenting the star of the show are some condiments from zesty mint chutney to rich, tangy tzatziki, each condiment is carefully crafted to enhance the natural flavours of the lamb.

I Personally like how the different dish are put together so that guest is able to mix and match their own choice of food from the buffet.

If you are a Rice or Noodles lover, then the dish from the Main Buffet Section is best match with some Rice or Shanghai Noodle Seafood prepared by G Hotel. Seafood lover also can also look forward to G Hotel's selection of seafood which will be available during the Chinese New Year reunion buffet. There will be Prawns, Mussels, Scallop, Sweet Crab Legs and the stars of the night the fresh plump Oyster. These opulent seafood is on ice display to keep it fresh throughout the buffet session.

Other than the main section, to add more choice to guest, G Hotel also take the effort to prepare some small sides dish or small bite food for everyone to munch on during the buffet dinner like Cheese, Sushi, Smoke Tenggiri, Salad to add some green and many more. Guest can also savour the artful craftsmanship at the salad station, where dressings and condiments elevate freshness to perfection.

To keep things interesting there will also be Action Station at Cafe 168 where the food is prepare directly in front of the guest and serve hot directly to guest. At the Action Station guest get to see how the food they order are being prepare. There are food like Stir Fried Mee Tai Mak, Pasta Station and Grilled Satay from the action station.

The vibrant Action Station also showcases Western and Asian delights with live cooking stations presenting dishes like Penang Asam Laksa and Pizza selections ensuring a celebration of diverse taste preferences.

At the heart of the buffet is the carving station spotlighting the roasted Chinese Duck. Celebrated for its crispy skin and succulent meat, this dish pays homage to time honoured traditions, ensuring an authentic and immersive experience.

What interest me is their Grill Station where many fresh seafood and meat will be grill to perfection and the heat from the fire give the food a bold strong tasty taste to it. To name a few, there are food like Slipper Lobster, Fish, Sausage and many more available at the Grill Station. Guest can choose the food they want and the Chef will put on some big fire grill action on.
