Ramadan Mubarak to everyone, this holy month is a time for Muslims around the world to strengthen their connections with family, friends and colleagues, fostering a sense of unity and compassion. Olive Tree Hotel would like to invite everyone to join them in commemorating Ramadan through an indulgent culinary experience that goes beyond just a meal at their Sukkah Coffee House which serves as the perfect backdrop for a journey that not only satiates the palate but also nourishes the soul, reflecting the true essence of this special time.


The Main Buffet Counter at Olive Tree Hotel, Penang always showcase dish which is bursting with robust flavours, that is why I also start my buffet dinner at the Main Counter so that I can try all their variety of food like Nasi Mandy Kambing Bakar, Sotong Masak Lemak Cili Api, Daging Rendang, Classic Ossobuco Lamb, Ikan Pari Masak Nyonya Pedas, Ketam Masak Berlada, Sauteed Prawn with Garlic and Herbs and many more. Having these different types of food is so satisfying when I can mix and match what I want from their Main Buffet Counter.

When enjoying the Main Buffet counter don't forget to reserve plenty of empty space in the tummy for many other delicious food from the buffet dinner at Olive Tree Hotel. To make things special Olive Tree Hotel prepare few different types of curry serve in Kuali Kawah style, which is something interesting that I look forward to. The Kambing Utara, Itik Kelantan, Curry Fish Head and Ayam Rempah goes really well with the Mandy Rice from the Main counter.




This Pak Man Gulai Kawah adds another dimension to the experience with a weekly rotation of three featured items on each day.







Individual stalls are being setup at the entrance to Sukkah Coffee House. This stalls give Sukkah Coffee House the Ramadan vibe as everyone is preparing the mood for the coming Hari Raya Celebration while breaking fast. These stalls showcase live cooking action that takes center stage, captivating the crowd with an array of freshly grilled delights such as satays, Ikan Bakar, Udang Bakar, Otak-Otak Bakar, Tandoori Chicken Sharwarma and Pita Bread, Koay Teow and Lontong Goreng.

Those who love steamboat, there's a choice of Curry soup or MaLa soup, featuring ingredients like Slipper Lobster, Prawn, Scallop, Bamboo Clam, Salmon Ball, Seafood Tofu, Fish Ball, Crab Stick, Dragon Prawn Dumpling, Shimeiji Mushroom, Shitake Mushroom, Siew Pak Choy, Watercress, Lettuce and Nai Pak Choy. Steamboat at a buffet dinner is something new that I don't see other Hotel doing, this is definitely a must try during the Ramadan Buffet dinner at Olive Tree Hotel Penang. Select all the ingredient that you want and the staff on duty will cook the food for you right in front of you so that it can be serve hot directly to you.

At Olive Tree Hotel, there is always something for everyone which include all the younger guests. Children can join their parents to berbuka puasa as Olive Tree Hotel also curated a special selection of food which include but not limited to Spaghetti Bolognese, Hawaiian Pizza, Pandan Chicken and Pop Corn, ensuring that every member of the family, friends and colleagues can enjoy a delightful feast.






To give more variety and choices to guest during the Buffet Ramadan, there are random food like Gado Gado, Sushi, Ketupat Pulut with Serunding Daging or Serunding Ayam, Satay and many more being prepared so that guest is not only limited to a certain cuisine during the buffet. Grabbing a little bit of everything from different cuisine at a buffet dinner is really nice.

The culinary expedition continues to the corner where there are an abundance of healthful greens awaits at the salad bar. Explore the tempting freshly-made kerabu, including highlights like Ulam Ulaman, Ikan dan Telur Masin, Sambal Belacan, Sambal Tempoyak, Sambal Kelapa, Kerabu Kaki Ayam, Dan Nangka Muda, Caesar Salad, Kerabu Tauge Bersama Kerang and more. There will also be weekly rotations of comforting soups which including Sup Ekor or Sup Ayam, adding a warm touch to your Iftar experience.

Explore the snack and dessert counter where an enticing assortment of assorted cakes, goreng-goreng, various ice creams, Ice Kacang and Cendol await your indulgence. Since this is a Ramadan Buffet, the local Kuih Muih is a must have ! There are dessert like Cheese Tart, Strawberry Pudding, Cream Puff, Cake Gula Melaka, Pandan Cream Caramel, Chocolate Tart, Agar Agar Santan and Blueberry Mousse to name a few.

For those who appreciate a meticulously curated dining ambiance, Olive Tree Selah Cafe on Level 1 presents a captivating culinary journey featuring Sajian Olive's Individual Set or Dome Set, along with the delectable Dulang Citarasa Serantau. Available throughout from 1 March to 30 April 2024, their diverse offerings cater to families, friends and colleagues during both lunch and dinner. The Sajian Olive is priced at RM 55.00 nett per person for the individual set and Dome Set of 10 persons starts from RM 960.00 nett, designed for a group of 10 persons. For private events, the Sajian Dome Set can be arranged in a private function room with customised pricing.



Another enticing option to elevate your dining experience at Selah Cafe is the Dulang Citarasa Serantau, perfect for a group of 4, creating a feast for the senses. Featuring a splendid selection of meat and skewer items and vegetables accompanied by flavorful sauces, it's ideal for both buka puasa and Raya gatherings. This delightful offering is available from March 1 to April 30, 2024, for both lunch and dinner.
