These two flavour give a distinguish taste and smell to the Gin Malaya. Gin Malaya : Original made from a harmonious blend of juniper, rosehip, pandan, lemongrass and the fiery kick of Bentong ginger. Perfect for those who crave a taste of the tropics. While Gin Malaya : Kantan has the bold sibling with a unique twist, macerated with juniper, rosehip and the vibrant flavor of kantan which is also known as ginger buds.

Penang Marriott Hotel is excited to announce the launch of Malaya Gin, a special event featuring Vin, the Founder and President of the Mixology Alliance. With 17 years of experience in the coffee and bar industry, Vin is well known for his exceptional skills and expertise. He is also an experienced judge for coffee and cocktail competitions, focusing on sensory and technical evaluation. Over the years, he has trained more than 50 baristas and bartenders. Vin showcase his craft by creating cocktails using Malaya Gin, a unique spirit inspired by the rich flavors of Southeast Asia.




For those who like to experience the original Gin Malaya Original is the best choice. With a bold, crisp and perfectly balanced gin with aromatic notes of pandan, lemongrass, and Bentong ginger, it is smooth with a lingering finish, best enjoyed on the rocks.


If you are someone who would love to try something different then the try the classic with a local twist. Say hello to Gin Malaya Kantan a subtly spiced with the fiery Torch Ginger Flower, offering a sweet floral fragrance that’s a favorite in Southeast Asia. Smooth and complex, it’s perfect on its own or with a dash of soda.








Vin, Founder and President of the Mixology Alliance, alongside Josh, a talented mixologist from Penang Marriott Hotel, showcase their expertise by crafting extraordinary cocktails using Malaya Gin, a spirit inspired by the rich flavors of Southeast Asia. Guests enjoyed expertly crafted drinks from a specially curated cocktail menu. From the menu there are cocktails like PLG which is made from Gin Malaya, Pandan and Lemongrass Cordial, Pandan Tonic. There is also the classic Pandan Malaya cocktails which is made from Gin Malaya, Pandan Syrup, Smoked Ginger Syrup, Saline Solution and Aquafaba. If you are looking for something refreshing with a twist of fizz, then the Sakura Fizz which is made from Gin Malaya Kantan, Sakura and Kantan Cordial, Ginger Ale will definitely do the trick. Lastly the unique Kantan Blossom which is made from Gin Malaya Kantan, Chrysanthemum and Kantan Syrup, Palm Lime and Aquafaba






Guests had the opportunity to enjoy specially curated drinks and canapes during the event. Canapes like Edamame Kerabu Pie Tea and Pull Chicken Vietnamese Spring Rolls steal the show.
