G Hotel continued its commitment to community engagement through its 1st Quarter G Care Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, held in celebration of the recent Chinese New Year and Ramadan Al-Mubarak. The dual celebration united G Care volunteers, Heads of Departments and associates in a shared mission to spread joy, care and goodwill across the local community.
As part of the initiative, the G Care team visited Xin Shan Le Welfare Center (Persatuan Kebajikan Kasih Sepenuh Hati Pulau Pinang), a home providing care and support to individuals with special needs and elderly residents. The centre housed 28 residents aged between 8 and 88 years old, alongside five dedicated caretakers. In the spirit of Chinese New Year, Ang Pow were presented to residents and caretakers as a symbol of blessings and prosperity.
In observance of Ramadan Al-Mubarak, the team also handed over 100 packs of Malay kuih, dates and mandarin oranges to Masjid Jamek Al-Munawwar, Kelawai Road, supporting the mosque’s congregation during the holy month of fasting. The mandarin oranges, a Chinese New Year symbol of prosperity, added a meaningful touch that blended both festive traditions in unity and harmony.
The day concluded at G Hotel Gurney’s Main Entrance, where 200 Buka Puasa goodie packs were handed out to members of the public, spreading festive cheer and goodwill to the community. G Hotel General Manager Michael Hanratty, together with the Heads of Departments and associates, joined in the activity, sharing smiles and warm moments with everyone present.
“Festive seasons were a time of giving, reflection and connection,” said Michael Hanratty, General Manager of G Hotel. “This year’s initiative was especially meaningful as it combined the spirit of Chinese New Year and Ramadan, a true reflection of Malaysia’s unity and togetherness. Through G Care, we hoped to go beyond hospitality and give back to the community that had always supported us.”
G Hotel remained dedicated to fostering compassion, inclusivity and cultural harmony, extending the true spirit of hospitality beyond its doors.
